Objective:To investigate whether patients with abnormal thyroid function have characteristic manifestations of gastric electrical activity and heart rate variability, and whether their gastric electrical and heart rate variability correlate with their symptoms and relevant indexes of laboratory tests. To investigate the mechanisms associated with impaired gastric emptying and autonomic dysfunction in patients with abnormal thyroid function.Methods:1.Select patients from our department of endocrinology(outpatient and inpatient)from March 2020 to September 2020,30 cases of hyperthyroidism group as test group1,24 cases of hypothyroidism patients as test group 2 and 35 cases of healthy volunteers as the normal control group. All subjects included in the group had gastrointestinal endoscopy to exclude gastrointestinal organic diseases.2.general clinical data and thyroid-related data were collected from the study subjects;preand postprandial electrograms and heart rate variability examinations were performed in the three groups.3.The data were collected and statistically processed using SPSS 25.0 statistical software, compared and analyzed to investigate the relationship between the gastric rhythm and autonomic function in the above-mentioned experimental and control groups.Results:1.Comparing the gender and age of the first, second and control groups, the differences were not significant(p>0.05)2.The normal gastric slow wave rhythm was below 70%in both test group 1 and test group 2.3.The differences between the three groups were statistically different(P<0.05)when comparing the preprandial and postprandial normal slow wave rhythms, the proportion of preprandial and postprandial bradycardia(B%),and the proportion of postprandial gastric tachycardia. The difference was significant(p<0.05)when comparing the proportion of pre-and post-prandial bradycardia in the normal group and the test group 2;the difference was significant(p<0.05)when comparing the proportion of pre-and post-prandial tachycardia in the normal group;and the difference was significant(p<0.05)when comparing the proportion of pre-and post-prandial gastric disturbance in the normal group and the test group 1 and test group 2;In a two-by-two comparison between groups, the proportion of preprandial gastric slow wave and postprandial gastric slow wave in the test group 1 were lower than the normal group, and the proportion of postprandial gastric slow wave in the test group 2 were lower than the normal group. The proportion of preprandial bradycardia, postprandial bradycardia and postprandial tachycardia were higher in the test group 1 than in the normal group, while the proportion of postprandial bradycardia and postprandial tachycardia were higher in the test group 2 than in the normal group.4.The proportion of mean preprandial four-channel gastric tachycardia was positively correlated with FT4,the proportion of mean preprandial four-channel main power was positively correlated with TT4,and the proportion of mean preprandial four-channel gastric disturbance was negatively correlated with TPOAb in the test group 1 and the test group 2.5.The differences between the three groups were statistically significant(P<0.05);in a two-by-two comparison between groups, the test group 1 had stronger vegetative system function and activity, sympathetic and parasympathetic activity than the test group 2,while the normal group had vegetative system function, vegetative system activity, sympathetic and parasympathetic activity were stronger than those in the test group 2.6.The proportion of normal gastric slow waves showed significant negative correlation with vegetative function, vegetative activity, and parasympathetic(r=-0.244,-0.365,-0.337,all P<0.05),and the proportion of gastric motility disorders showed significant positive correlation with vegetative function and vegetative activity(r=0.296,0.278,p<0.05).Conclusion:1.Both test group 1 and test group 2 had some degree of disturbance of gastric electrical rhythm compared with the normal group;2.The increase in the proportion of pre-prandial bradycardia,post-prandial bradycardia and post-prandial tachycardia in test group 1 and the increase in the proportion of post-prandial bradycardia and post-prandial tachycardia in test group 2 may be the cause of abnormal gastric emptying;3.The abnormal gastric motility in test group 1 and test group 2 may be related to the FT4 index and TT4 index;4.The presence of autonomic dysfunction in patients with thyroid dysfunction is positively correlated with disturbance of gastric electrical rhythm.
