| At present,my country’s urban-rural integration continues to advance, and the urban-rural medical insurance system is constantly adjusted. The role of the medical insurance system in promoting consumption of urban and rural residents has gradually emerged.According to my country’s "Healthy China 2030" Planning Outline,in response to the "Healthy China" policy, providing equalized basic public health services for urban and rural residents, and promoting the completeness of the medical insurance system from the livelihood of the people, thereby enabling urban and rural residents The consumption level has increased. This requires us to have a certain understanding of the medical insurance system for urban and rural residents, and to find effective measures to stimulate the consumption vitality of urban and rural residents, optimize the consumption structure, and narrow the gap between urban and rural residents’ consumption levels. With this understanding, ensuring that the medical insurance system improves the consumption of urban and rural residents is not only the need to promote the improvement of medical reform, but also the need to promote the integration of urban and rural areas to respond to social and economic changes. This article is based on the 2014,2016 and 2018 data of the China Family Dynamics Tracking Survey(CFPS)released by the Chinese Social Science Survey Center of Peking University and the 1997-2019 national macro-annual database of China Economic Network to investigate the impact of resident medical insurance on urban and rural residents’ consumption.First, describe the characteristics of the urban and rural basic medical insurance system and the consumption characteristics of urban and rural residents, and analyze that residential medical insurance may affect the consumption of urban and rural residents through the health shock mechanism and health prevention mechanism;second, use the propensity score matching method(PSM)to conduct empirical analysis.Through comparison,it is concluded that participating in resident medical insurance has a positive effect on the total consumption and subsistence consumption of urban and rural residents, and has a negative effect on developmental consumption;finally, using the three-phase panel data, establish a mediating effect model and adjustment in the sub-sample regression analysis Effect model, the results show that participating in resident medical insurance has a significant positive effect on the enjoyment consumption of urban residents through the intermediary variable of commercial insurance expenditure, and participating in resident medical insurance has a significant negative effect on the total consumption of rural residents through the adjustment variable of personal medical expenditure. Therefore, this article believes that in order to promote the consumption level of urban and rural residents in my country, reasonable measures should be taken to improve the medical insurance system, adjust the consumption structure, encourage the government to formulate a tiered medical insurance system, and provide more welfare subsidies;actively guide the market to sink and enrich the types of consumption; At the same time, residents are encouraged to adjust their own medical and health consumption habits. |
