The Impact Of Topical Drug Therapy OnⅠ、Ⅱ Degree Internal Hemorrhoids Patients’ Erectile Function And Ejaculation Function: A Preliminary Study

Objective: To observe the changes of erectile function and ejaculation function in Ⅰ and Ⅱ internal hemorrhoids patients after 1 month of local drug treatment.Methods From May 2020 to February 2021,112 patients with Ⅰ and Ⅱ internal hemorrhoids were treated in our hospital.TheⅠnternational Erectile Function Questionnaires(IIEF-5)and PEDT scoring scale were used to evaluate the effects of grade Ⅰ and grade Ⅱ internal hemorrhoids on erectile function and ejaculation control.After 1 month of treatment with compound carraghenates cream,IIEF-5 and PETT scores were reviewed to assess changes in erectile function and ejaculation function after topical treatment.Results The mean age was 34.74±10.79 years in 112 patients with Ⅰ and Ⅱ degrees of hemorrhoids,including 4 ≤20 years old,44 21-30 years old,33 31-40 years old,1841-50 years old,and 13 ≥51 years old.There were 61 patients(prevalence 54.5%)with erectile dysfunction(ED)with IIEF-5≤21 and 51 patients without ED with IIEF-5≥22.There were 44 cases of premature ejaculation(PE)patients with PETT ≥11(prevalence rate 39.3%),15 cases of suspected PE patients with PETT of 9-10,53 cases of non-PE patients with PETT ≤8.At the same time,there were 38 patients with ED and PE with IIEF-5≤21 and PETT ≥11.After 1 month of local treatment with compound carraghenates cream,the IIEF-5 problem scores and the mean of total scores were significantly improved in all patients compared with before treatment(P<0.05);IIEF-5scores were compared before and after treatment,regardless of whether the patients had ED or PE before treatment,the IIEF-5 scores were increased after treatment(P<0.01);Comparing the improvement of IIEF-5 scores before and after treatment,the improvement in the ED group was more significant than that in the non-ED group(P<0.01),PE group was more obvious than non-PE group(P<0.001).The PEDT scores and the mean of total scores in all patients were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.01).PEDT scores were compared before and after treatment,regardless of whether patients were combined with PE or ED before treatment,PEDT scores were all decreased after treatment(P<0.001),the improvement was more obvious in PE group than in non-PE group(P<0.05).Compared with the decrease value of PEDT scores before and after treatment,the ED group and the non-ED group were roughly similar before and after treatment(P>0.05);The decrease of PE group was more obvious than that of non-PE group(P<0.001).The level of IIEF-5 in patients older than 20 years was higher than that before and after treatment(P<0.01).Ⅰn addition to the ≤20 years old group,PETT was not significantly different before and after treatment,while in other groups,that is,patients older than 20 years old,PETT was decreased after treatment(<0.05).Conclusion: The erectile function and ejaculation function of patients with Ⅰ and Ⅱ internal hemorrhoids can be improved by topical drug treatment for one month.
