Objectives:To provide a theoretical basis for the selection of surgical materials for facial lifting,we evaluate efficacy and safety of absorbable and nonabsorbable Wires for MidLower Facial Rejuvenation.Methods:1.180 subjects participated in the clinical trial from October 2019 to November 2020,and were randomly assigned to non-absorbable materials(Group A)and absorbable materials(Group B).2.The subjects in both groups were recorded by medical photography before and 1,3,and 6 months after the operation. The subjects and investigators scored the surgical treatment effect by the Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale at 1,3,and 6 months after the surgery. The third-party researchers performed WSRS grading score based on preoperative and 6-month postoperative photographs. The comprehensive satisfaction rate was formed by integrating the treatment satisfaction evaluation of the subjects, investigators and third-party researchers at 6 months after surgery.Investigator records adverse events.3.The SPSS22.0 statistical software was used to analyze the relevant data in the groups.Measurement data were expressed as mean ± standard deviation(x ± s),using t test/corrected t test, count data were expressed as rate(%),using chi-square test/Fisher’s exact test, and ordered categorical data using Wilcoxon rank sum test.P<0.05 indicates that the difference was statistically significant.Results:1.A total of 180 subjects were included,of which 7 were dropped out.A total of 173 cases were completed, including 88 cases in group A and 85 cases in group B.2.In group A,the GAIS scores of the subjects and investigators at 1 month after operation were compared with those scores at 3 months in the same group respectively. The scores between 3 and 6 months after surgery were compared in the same way.P value are all greater than 0.05,indicating that the difference was not statistically significant. In group B,the GAIS score of the subjects was compared between 1 month and 3 months after the operation,P=0.030,indicating that the GAIS score of the subjects in group B increased from 1 to 3 months after the operation, and there was a statistical difference.Investigator GAIS score was compared between 3 months and 6 months after surgery,P=0.017,indicating that the investigator GAIS score in group B increased from 3 to 6 months after surgery, and there was a statistical difference.3.The subjects’ GIAS scores and investigators’ GIAS scores were compared respectively between the two groups at 1,3,and 6 months after the operation.P value were all greater than 0.05,indicating that the difference was not statistically significant.4.The results of third-party researchers’ WSRS grading score at 6 months postoperatively were compared with those before surgery in each group.P values were all less than 0.001,indicating that the difference was statistically significant. The third-party researchers’ WSRS grading score results between two groups at 6 months after surgery showed that the P value was less than 0.05.6 months after surgery, the WSRS score of group B was significantly higher than that of group A,which was consistent with the difference between the two groups before surgery. After covariance analysis, the WSRS score of group B at 6 months after operation was higher than that of group A,F=5.64,P=0.019,indicating that the difference was statistically significant.5.The comprehensive satisfaction rate of the two groups at 6 months after operation was 88.64%in group A and 85.88%in group B.The P value was greater than 0.05,indicating that the difference was not statistically significant.6.The adverse event rates in the two groups were 27.27%and 14.12%.The P value was less than 0.05,showing statistically significant difference. Conclusions:Both the non-absorbable soft-tissue elastic plastic lifting wire and the absorbable soft-tissue lifting belt have demonstrated effectiveness in thread lifts with mild to moderate laxity in the mid-lower face.Treatment satisfaction was similar for both groups.Non-absorbable soft-tissue elastic plastic lifting wire improves wrinkle improvement better than absorbable soft-tissue lifting belt at 6 months after surgery. The complication rate of the absorbable lifting belt is lower than that of the non-absorbable lifting wire, and it has higher security. |
