Objective:This experiment mainly explored the difference of suture speed, postoperative infection rate, postoperative incision complications, operation cost and average postoperative hospitalization time in neurosurgery.thus providing more and better options for incision closure in neurosurgery. Methods : Analysis of 87 patients treated with Shengjing Hospital Affiliated to China Medical University neurosurgery from March 2019 to February 2021,According to the odd number of admission date,it was divided into control group and barbed line group.A total of 42 cases(18 male,24 female;Average age 49.17±16.95 years;Spinal surgery,11 cases,Craniocerebral surgery(31 cases)was performed by continuous suture of subcutaneous and epidermis with 3-0 absorbable barbed thread,In the control group,45 cases(25 male,20 female;Average age 47.09±17.24 years;Spinal surgery,7 cases,Craniocerebral surgery(38 cases)was performed by intermittent suture of subcutaneous and epidermis,By the assistant to complete the knot and shearing operations.Postoperative fever, headache, vomiting, meningeal irritation, lumbar puncture, retained CSF routine, biochemical, bacterial culture. The second day after operation began to change medicine, then every 3 days to change medicine,10 days after the removal of thread, during the record of incision complications. The postoperative hospitalization time and cost were recorded after discharge. The difference of suture speed, average length of hospital stay, incidence of postoperative incision complications, operation cost and intracranial infection rate were compared between the two groups. Results:The results showed that the suture speed of the inverted thread group was significantly faster than that of the control group [(0.49±0.03)cm/min ratio(0.36±0.02)cm/min].The results showed that The postoperative infection rate(7.14%)was lower than that of the control group(22.22%),All the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After operation, there was no significant difference between the two groups(P >0.05).Conclusions:Subcutaneous and epidermal suture with absorbable inverted puncture line can improve suture speed, reduce postoperative infection rate, and do not significantly increase the cost of surgery, postoperative hospitalization time and the incidence of postoperative complications. It is feasible to popularize in clinic.
