Research On The Propaganda And Mobilization Of The Patriotic Health Campaign By People’s Daily In The 1950s And 1960s （1952-1966）

In the early days of New China,China was suffering from the germ warfare of the United States and the severe domestic health situation.In order to get rid of the severe situation of raging diseases and the threat of germ warfare of the United States,the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China,represented by Mao Zedong,under extremely difficult circumstances,took the lead of the Chinese nation.From the perspective of promoting production,protecting the country,and protecting health,extensive social mobilization has been carried out across the country and proposed the slogan of mobilizing,paying attention to hygiene,reducing disease,improving health,and crushing the enemy’s germ warfare.This mobilization has received a positive response from the people all over the country,which kicked off the vigorous patriotic health campaign.Through the promotion of this patriotic health campaign,not only the health knowledge of Chinese people has been popularized,but also the awareness of disease prevention has been enhanced,the physical health of the people has been improved,the development of social productivity and the national economy has been promoted,and the new regime of Chinese people has been consolidated.At this moment,we start from the perspective of historical research that the People’s Daily,the newspaper of the Communist Party of China,carried out extensive and in-depth reports on the patriotic health movement,which played an important role in mobilizing the masses to actively participate in this campaign and provide us with a systematic understanding of it from multiple perspectives by providing rich and detailed material.Research shows that People’s Daily has carried out propaganda on the patriotic health movement with unprecedented scale,various forms and distinctive features in various forms and rich contents,widely disseminated the concept of the patriotic health movement,and greatly inspired the people’s enthusiasm,which promoted the prosperity and development of the central task at that time,played a historical role that cannot be underestimated.This dissertation uses research methods of literature analysis and multidisciplinary research,and other research methods,and takes “People’s Daily”（1952-1966）’s publicity and mobilization of the patriotic health movement as the research content,by reviewing and go through the development of the patriotic health movement in the 1950 s and 1960 s to provide reference and inspiration for epidemic prevention and control.To analyze the mobilization mechanism and mobilization strategy of the party newspaper in the process of propaganda and mobilization through research would have critical enlightening value in ensuring the political correctness of the propaganda,the effectiveness of propaganda and mobilization in the new era,and handling the new media and major social concerns.We can understand how the Communist Party of China carries out ideological education for the masses through social mobilization by this research,which has important reference significance for carrying out ideological education in the new era.The full text is mainly consists of the introduction,the main body and the conclusion.The introduction mainly introduces the academic and practical significance of the topic,and the research status at home and abroad is summarized,the future research is proposed and the research methods and innovation is illustrated.The first chapter of the main body is to analyze the historical background of the Chinese Communist Party’s patriotic health campaign propaganda and mobilization.To explore the development of patriotic health care from three aspects: the severe epidemic prevention situation and the urgent needs to improve the physical quality of the people in the early days of the People’s Republic of China,the serious threat to China’s health security caused by the bacterial war launched by the United States after the outbreak of the Korean War,and the inheritance of the traditional health work during the democratic revolution of the Communist Party of China.At the same time,it comprehensively analyzes the mission of the times shouldered by People’s Daily as a party newspaper.The second chapter comprehensively explains the historical practice of “People’s Daily”to carry out the patriotic health campaign propaganda and mobilization.This chapter first discusses the patriotic health campaign propaganda and mobilization carried out by the People’s Daily around the four aspects of fully publicizing its significance and necessity,timely conveying the policy requirements of the party and the government,widely publicizing local experiences and effects,and criticizing wrong practices.Then from the content,strategy,form,and method to explain the main characteristics of “People’s Daily” of carrying out the patriotic health campaign propaganda and mobilization.The third chapter systematically analyzes the historical achievements and limitations of the patriotic health campaign propaganda and mobilization carried out by People’s Daily.It mainly summarizes the historical achievements of People’s Daily’s propaganda and mobilization in four aspects: mobilizing and educating the people,passing on the relevant policies of the party,creating a favorable atmosphere for public opinion,and popularizing health science knowledge.The limitations of People’s Daily’s publicity and mobilization of patriotic health campaigns have been elaborated from four perspectives as well: the campaign and slogan advocacy have weakened the effect of advocacy and mobilization to a certain extent.The fourth chapter deeply summarized the historical enlightenment and practical significance of “People’s Daily” to carry out the propaganda and mobilization of the patriotic health campaign.This paper mainly analyzes the historical enlightenment of the People’s Daily’s patriotic health campaign propaganda and mobilization from four dimensions on insisting on the unity of the party spirit and the people’s nature of the newspaper.This is of great enlightening
