Objective: Through clinical research,we observed the clinical efficacy of Xiaoxianxiong and Zhizhu Modified Decoction on patients with spleen deficiency and dampness type 2 diabetes,and discussed its mechanism of action,providing new ideas for T2 DM TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment.Methods: 60 patients with spleen deficiency and dampness type T2 DM were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.At the same time of diet and exercise treatment,the control group was given metformin hydrochloride 0.5g tid.On the basis of the above,the treatment group was given Xiaoxianxiong and Zhizhu Modified Decoction of one dose for 12 weeks.The safety was monitored and the changes of physical and chemical indicators such as blood glucose,blood lipids,BMI,HOMA-IR,ISI,FFA and TCM symptom scores were observed before and after treatment.Results: In terms of comprehensive efficacy,the total effective rate was 86.7%in the treatment group and 60.0% in the control group.The treatment group was superior to the control group.In the TCM symptom scores and physical and chemical indicators,both groups were reduced after treatment,and all of them improved,and the treatment group was superior to the control group.There were no significant abnormalities in safety indicators before and after treatment in both groups.Conclusion: Xiaoxianxiong and Zhizhu Modified Decoction has a good and safe clinical effect on patients with spleen deficiency and dampness T2 DM,whichcan effectively improve clinical symptoms,reduce body weight,blood sugar,blood lipids and restore islet function.It is worthy of further study.
