Analysis Of Clinical Application Characteristics Of External Therapy Of Traditional Chinese Medicine For Impotence Before The Republic Of China

Objective: To collect literatures on external treatment of impotence before the Republic of China,to analyze and summarize the clinical application of external treatment of impotence.METHODS: Taking the fifth edition of “Chinese medical dictionary” [1] as the search source,literature on external treatment for impotence was collected,and relevant databases were established and analyzed.RESULTS: A total of 43 medical records,136 articles,88 prescriptions for acupuncture and moxibustion and 48 external therapies were retrieved.(1)There are 27 acupoints,127 times using acupoints;most of them are Zushaoyin Kidney Meridian,Renmai Meridian and Zutaiyin Spleen Meridian,and the first five acupoints are Yingu,Qichong,Yanggu,Ququan and Yuji.(2)133 flavors of traditional Chinese medicine,a total of 498 times;mostly choose warm-lining drugs,tonifying deficiency drugs,anti-poisoning insecticide and anti-itching drugs;the top ten drugs that are used the most frequently are Fructus cnidii,monkshood,musk,Flos caryophylli,frankincense,myrrh,Venenum Bufonis,realgar,Momordica cochinchinensis,Freshwater Sponge.CONCLUSION: The characteristics of acupoint selection and medication of impotence therapy are summarized in this research,which may contribute to the modern clinical application of external treatment of TCM.
