Objective: To observe the clinical effect of moxibustion on Ba Liao point on the treatment of infantile enuresis with kidney-qi deficiency, and to explore its unique advantages in improving TCM syndromes,so as to provide basis for its clinical application.Method:A total of 60 children with enuresis were included in this project and randomly divided into moxibustion group and western medicine group, each with 30 cases.Moxibustion group was treated with Moxibustion on Ba Liao point, while western medicine group was treated with oral Mi Ning tablet(desmopressin acetate). The treatment lasted for 8 weeks and followed up after 3 months. Before and after treatment, the TCM syndrome score and clinical efficacy of the two groups of children were evaluated respectively, and the therapeutic effect of moxibustion on Ba Liao point on the disease and the regulation of TCM syndrome were analyzed. After 3 months of follow-up,the recurrence of enuresis in children was observed.Results:1.Main symptoms: In terms of improving enuresis degree and sleep depth of main symptoms, both groups are significantly better than before treatment(P(27)0.05),indicating that both treatment methods can improve enuresis degree and sleep depth of children. However, the comparison between the two groups showed that there was no statistical difference between the two therapies(P(29)0.05).2.Secondary symptoms: In improving the secondary symptoms of the children, such as complexion, mental fatigue, aversion to cold and limb cold, soreness and weakness of waist and knees, the two groups after treatment are superior to those before treatment, with statistical difference(P(27)0.05);In addition, the comparison between the groups found that the spread moxibustion group was superior to the western medicine group(P(27)0.05),indicating that the spread moxibustion on Ba Liao point was obviously superior to the western medicine group in improving the complexion, mental fatigue, aversion to cold, cold limbs, soreness and weakness of waist and knees,etc.3.The total score of syndrome: the comparison of the two groups within the group has statistical significance,(P(27)0.05)shows that both therapies can improve the total score of syndrome of enuresis children. The comparison between the two groups found that there was no statistical difference between the two treatment methods in improving the total score of syndromes of enuresis children(P(29)0.05).4.Clinical curative effect: 30 cases of children in the moxibustion group,1 case fell off during treatment,3 cases were cured(10.34%),14 cases were markedly effective(48.28%),8 cases were effective(27.59%),4 cases were ineffective(13.79%),and the total effective rate was 86.21%;In the western medicine group, there were 30 cases,2 cases fell off during treatment,3 cases were cured(10.71%),15 cases were markedly effective(53.57%),5 cases were effective(17.86%),5 cases were ineffective(17.86%),and the total effective rate was 82.14%.Statistical analysis of the clinical efficacy of the two groups,P(29)0.05,has no statistical significance, showing that moxibustion on Ba Liao point is effective in the treatment of infantile enuresis, but there is no difference in clinical efficacy compared with oral Mi Ning tablets.5.Recurrence of enuresis: Follow-up 3 months after the treatment,3 cases(10.34%)recurred in the moxibustion group and 10 cases(35.71%)recurred in the western medicine group. There was a statistical difference between the two groups(P(27)0.05).The recurrence rate in the moxibustion group was lower than that in the western medicine group.6.Adverse reactions: No obvious adverse reactions occurred in both groups. Conclusion: Moxibustion on Ba Liao point has the same clinical effect as oral meconium tablets in treating enuresis in children, and can improve the main symptoms of enuresis in children. However, moxibustion on Ba Liao point is obviously better than oral Mi Ning tablet in improving secondary symptoms of enuresis children. In addition, the relapse rate in the spread moxibustion group is lower than that in the western medicine group, and the long-term curative effect of spread moxibustion therapy in improving infantile enuresis is more lasting. And no obvious adverse reactions occurred in the two groups, indicating that moxibustion therapy is safe and effective. Therefore, moxibustion on Ba Liao point can effectively treat children with enuresis due to kidney-qi deficiency, can obviously improve the clinical symptoms and mental state of children,is not easy to relapse,is safe and has no adverse reactions, and is worthy of further clinical research and application.
