Study On Therapeutic Effects Of Acupotomy Combined With Specific Electromagnetic Spectrum Irradiation In The Treatment Of Occipital Neuralgia

ObjectiveRandomized controlled clinical trials were conducted to compare the therapeutic effects of acupotomy combined with specific electromagnetic spectrum(TDP)and acupuncture combined with specific electromagnetic spectrum(TDP)in the treatment of occipital neuralgia,and to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the two therapies,so as to provide a more efficient treatment plan for the clinic.Methods60 patients from the acupuncture and moxibustion clinic of The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were recruited for treatment from January 2019 to December 2019.They were divided into two groups by simple randomization.Among them,the subjects in the treatment group received acupotomy release therapy,plus specific electromagnetic spectrum therapy instrument irradiation,release once every 7 days,one time and one course of treatment;Subjects in the control group were treated with acupuncture,during which they were irradiated with specific electromagnetic spectrum therapy apparatus,which was conducted twice a week,every interval of 2-3 days,twice as a course of treatment.The two groups were treated for a total of 3 courses of treatment.The data changes of VAS and HIT-6 score before and after treatment were recorded,and the efficacy was objectively evaluated,and the collected data were analyzed and evaluated by using correct statistical methods.ResultsThe age,gender,course of disease,VAS and HIT-6 score before treatment of the subjects in the treatment group and the control group were tested by different statistical methods.It was found that there was no statistical difference between the baseline data and the pre-treatment score of the two groups(P<0.05),which could be compared.Comparison of VAS score data:after 3 courses of treatment,VAS score of the two groups showed a lower than before(P<0.05),indicating that acupotomy and acupuncture combined with TDP therapy were effective for relieving occipital nerve pain.Moreover,the VAS score of acupotomy combined TDP group was significantly lower than that of acupuncture combined TDP group(P<0.05),and the VAS score of acupotomy combined TDP group decreased more than that of acupuncture combined TDP group(P<0.05),indicating that acupotomy combined TDP treatment had better relief effect on occipital nerve pain.Comparison of data changes of HIT-6 score:after 3 courses of treatment,the HIT-6 score of the two groups showed lower than before(P<0.05),indicating that acupotomy or acupuncture combined with TDP therapy had certain efficacy in reducing the negative impact of pain on life and work.Moreover,the HIT-6 score of acupotomy combined with TDP group was lower than that of acupuncture combined with TDP group(P<0.05),and the difference of HIT-6 score of acupotomy combined with TDP group was also higher than that of acupuncture combined with TDP group(P<0.05),indicating that acupotomy combined with TDP was more effective than acupuncture combined with TDP in alleviating the work and life burden of occipital neuralgia.Comparison of clinical efficacy:there was a difference(P<0.05)between the two groups,with the total effective rate of 96.67%in the treatment group,better than 83.33%in the control group,indicating that for occipital neuralgia,acupotomy combined with TDP irradiation had a better curative effect.Conclusion1.Acupotomy combined with TDP and acupuncture combined with TDP irradiation can effectively treat occipital neuralgia.Both therapies can reduce VAS and HIT-6 scores,reduce the pain level of patients,reduce their negative stimulation to their spirit,mood,work and life,and improve their quality of life.2.After treatment,VAS and HIT-6 scores of acupotomy combined with TDP were lower than those of acupuncture group,and the score difference and total effective rate were higher than those of acupuncture group,indicating that acupotomy combined with TDP has a more significant effect on occipital neuralgia than acupuncture combined with TDP.3.Acupotomy combined with TDP irradiation for treatment of occipital neuralgia is efficient and fast,suitable for clinical promotion and application.
