ObjectiveTo explore the safety and effectiveness of Fu’s Subcutaneous Needling(FSN)combined with moxibustion therapy, and to provide corresponding clinical ideas and reference materials for the treatment of myofascitis of back, the clinical effect of FSN combined with moxibustion therapy on wind-cold-dampness type myofascitis of back was observed in a small sample randomized controlled trial, which was compared with moxibustion therapy.MethodsIn this study,66 cases of wind-cold-dampness type myofascitis of back were included, which were recruited from the department of acupuncture and moxibustion clinic or admitted to the acupuncture and moxibustion rehabilitation center and rehabilitation nursing center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Patients were randomly allocated to treatment group(FSN combined with moxibustion)and control group(moxibustion),33 cases for each group.FSN therapy selected myofascial trigger point(MTrP)as the target, and scanning combined with reperfusion activity were used.In the moxibustion group, the selected acupoints are Ashi acupoint,Dazhui,Shenshu,Weizhong,Yanglingquan, and Yaoyangguan, and the selected acupoints are successively used for mild moxibustion. The patients in two groups were treated every other day for 6 times.VAS score, tenderness score and Oswestry were collected before treatment and after two courses of treatment, and the data were recorded into SPSS23.0 for statistical analysis.Results1.In this study,no cases were shed or removed,All patients of wind-cold-dampness type myofascitis of back successfully completed the clinical treatment.A total of 66 patients were included in statistical analysis,33 in the treatment group and 33 in the control group.2.Before treatment, statistical analysis was conducted on the gender distribution, age, course of disease,VAS score, tenderness score, and Oswestry of the patients in the two groups. After analysis, there was no statistical difference in clinical baseline data between the two groups, indicating that the two groups were comparable.3.After two courses of treatment, the VAS score, tenderness score and Oswestry of the two groups decreased compared with that before treatment, and there were statistically significant differences between the two groups before and after treatment(P<0.05),suggesting that the treatment regimens of the two groups could alleviate the pain symptoms, signs of tenderness and improve the activity function of the patients.4.VAS score, tenderness score, and Oswestry score difference before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. The difference between the groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),suggesting that the FSN combined with moxibustion group was superior to the simple moxibustion group in alleviating pain symptoms, signs of tenderness and improving activity function.5.At the end of the course of treatment, the total effective rate was 84.85%in the treatment group and 66.67%in the control group(P=0.028),which showed that the two groups were effective in treating cold-dampness type myofascitis of back, while FSN combined with moxibustion group is superior to the simple moxibustion group.ConclusionFSN combined with moxibustion therapy and simple moxibustion therapy both can relieve the pain and tenderness as well as improve activity function of patients with wind-cold-dampness type myofascitis of back.In general, the curative effect of FSN combined with moxibustion therapy is better.
