Effect Of WeChat-Based Cinema-Therapy On Post-Traumatic Growth Of Post-Operative Breast Cancer Patients Undergoing Chemotherapy

[Objectives]To examine the effect of WeChat-based cinema-therapy on post-traumatic growth,meaning in life and medical coping modes of post-operative breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.[Methods]A randomised controlled was conducted with post-operative chemotherapy of breast cancer patients(N=70)conveniently selected from a general hospital granted 3A in Fujian Province during February to December 2019.The participants was allocated into experimental group(n=35)and the control group(n=35)by using SPSS generating random numbers.The subject in the experimental group received WeChat-based cinema-therapy,which was delivered one round a week for 4 week,and each round last120～150 minutes.The control group received routine follow-up care.Data were collected at baseline,immediately after intervention and one month later with Chinese Post-traumatic Growth Inventory(C-PTGI),Chinese Meaning in Life Questionnaire(CMLQ),Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire(MCMQ).All data were analyzed with descriptive statistical,t test,Chi-square test,Fisher’s exact test,Mann-whitney U test,Repeated measures analysis of variance,Generalized estimation equation(GEE),and logistic regression analysis were used to analyze the influence factors of post-traumatic growth after intervention.[Results]1.Comparison of baseline data(1)there was no statistically significant difference in the basic condition and psychological measurement level between the two groups(P>0.05).(2)The score of avoidance in the control group was the same as that of the norm(P>0.05),the score of face was lower than the norm,and the score of yield was higher than the norm(P<0.05).The scores of avoidance and yield in the experimental group were higher than the norm(P<0.05),and the score of face was lower than the norm(P<0.05).2.Status of patients after interventionThe Karnofsky Performance Status(KPS)of the two groups were the same,both were90 points.There was no significant difference in ZPS score between the two groups(P>0.05).3.Compare the Intervention effect(1)Post-traumatic growthThe analysis of GEE showed that the differences of group,time point and interaction in post-traumatic growth,the dimensions of reflections on life and the dimensions of self-transformation had statistically significant(P<0.05).The difference of group and time point in the dimensions of individual strength had statistically significant(P<0.05),and the difference of interaction had not statistically significant(P>0.05).The difference of time point,interaction in the dimensions of new possibility and the relationship with others had statistical significance(P<0.05),and there was no statistical significance in the difference between the group(P>0.05).(2)Meaning in lifeThe analysis of GEE showed that the difference of groups,time point and the interaction of the meaning in life and two dimensions had statistical significance(P<0.05).(3)Medical coping modes1)The differences between each dimension of medical coping modes and norm in the control group after intervention had statistically significant(P<0.05);One month later,the difference between the face,avoidance scores and norm had statistically significant(P<0.05),while the difference between yield scores and norm had not statistically significant(P>0.05).The differences between face scores and norm in the experimental group after intervention had not statistical significance(P>0.05),between avoidance,yield scores and norm had statistically significant(P<0.05);one month later,the difference between face,give scores and norm had no statistical significance(P>0.05),the difference between between avoid scores and norm had statistically significant(P<0.05).2)Analysis of variance of repeated measures showed that the difference of groups and the interaction of the face scores had statistical significance(P<0.05),and there was no statistical significance at time points(P>0.05).The analysis of GEE showed that the difference of group,time point and interaction in avoidance score had statistically significant(P<0.05).Analysis of variance of repeated measures showed that the time point,group difference and interaction of yield score had statistically significant(P<0.01).(4)Analysis of influencing factorsLogistic regression analysis showed that the WeChat-based cinema-therapy(OR=2.135),the meaning in life after intervention(OR=1.642),and the yield after intervention(OR=0.546)were the main influencing factors for patients’ post-intervention growth,among which the WeChat-based cinema-therapy and the meaning in life after intervention were positive factors,while the yield score after intervention was negative factors.[Conclusion]WeChat-based cinema-therapy can promoted post-traumatic growth of breast cancer patients undergoing post-operative chemotherapy,enhanced their meaning in life,and cause patients to change their medical coping modes.
