| Plants in nature harbor rich natural products with diverse chemical structures and various biological functions.These natural products have been playing a key role in the development of medicines.This dissertation consists of three chapters.In the first chapter,investigation on the chemical ingredients and their bioactivities of Sarcococca ruscifolia was described.Four new compounds named sarcorusones A-D(1-4)and other five known compounds(5-9)were isolated from S.ruscifolia.Compounds 5,6 and 7 showed weak activity against Escherichia coli.Compounds 1-7 presented certain cytotoxic activity to tumor cells B16F10 and H1299.Compounds 2,3,5,and 6 exhibited moderate cytotoxic activities against B16F10 and H1299 cell lines with IC50 values 2.7–8.0μM.The chemical study on peel of Areca catechu was described in the second chapter.The fruit of A.catechu is a traditional Chinese medicine.Twelve known compounds were isolated from the peel of Areca catechu,and their structures were established by analysis of the MS and NMR spectra data.In the third chapter,review on the phytoalexin were described on the basis of structures,biosynthesis,antimicrobial activity and resistance of microorganisms.Nitrogen contenting phytoalexins reported from 1984 were collected and systematacially described in groups by their structures and antimicrobial activity.Their structure-activity was also reviewed in this part.The investigation on the literatures expanded our understanding on phytoalexins in nature.Also,we presented the prospective on the future usage of phytoalexins. |
