A Practical Study On Alleviating The Burden On The Caregivers Of Children With Leukemia

With the development and progress of medical level in recent years,the cure rate of childhood leukemia is also increasing year by year.However,there is no final conclusion about the cause of childhood leukemia in the medical field at present.The conjecture about whether it is caused by genetic factors will also increase the psychological burden of caregivers of children with leukemia.However,no matter which type of children with leukemia need to be treated with multi cycle chemotherapy in the hospital,the caregivers of children with leukemia need to take care of the children in the hospital for a long time,which will have an impact on their social interaction.In order to take care of the children,most of the caregivers have to give up their jobs.The high cost of medical treatment and the changes of the children’s illness will increase the pressure of the caregiversThis study to the children’s hospital of Kunming in the onset of leukemia children with caregivers as the main research object,by family pressure interaction theory,cognitive behavior theory and the social support theory as the theoretical support,with a case study of social work as the main research method,by adopting the Zarit caregiver burden scale and social support rating scale caregivers to take care of children with leukemia before proceeding with the level of burden and social support levels.According to the measurement results and the specific problems of the service object,the social work service intervention plan was developed,and the case work method was used to carry out the relevant intervention service for the pressure of the caregivers of children with leukemia,and the stress of the caregivers was alleviated from the physical,psychological,social and economic dimensions through the complete intervention process.Through the interviews with the service subjects and combined with the post-test results of the scale,this study found that the case work had an obvious effect on the pressure intervention of the caregivers of children with leukemia.In addition,due to the large mobility of the caregivers of children with leukemia,the case work method in the social work method can provide services more flexibly and is more suitable for the hospital.
