Clinical Observation Of Acupuncture And Moxibustion With Septum Aconite Cake Umbilicus In The Treatment Of Insomnia With Kidney Yang Deficiency

Objective: In this study,by observing the changes of Pittsburgh sleep quality index(PSQI)and TCM syndrome scale before and after the treatment of insomnia patients with kidney-yang deficiency,the effects of acupuncture and moxibustion and the zopicone on the sleep quality of insomnia patients with kidney-yang deficiency were compared,and the clinical efficacy of these two different treatment methods on kidney-yang deficiency insomnia was evaluated,providing a new idea for the treatment of clinical insomnia.Methods:According to the random number table method,66 patients with kidney-yang deficiency insomnia,were divided into the experimental group and the control group(n = 33).In the experimental group,baihui,shenting,yintang,hegu and taichong were taken and treated once a day with 30 minutes of moxibustion at the umbilicus of aconite cake.The treatment lasted for 10 days,with an interval of 3 days.The control group was given zopiclone,taking 3.75 mg orally every night for a course of 10 days for 3consecutive courses.Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)and kidneyyang deficiency syndrome scale were used to assess the condition of the two groups on the day of enrollment and 30 days after treatment,respectively.The subtracting rate of PSQI score was used as the effective evaluation standard,and the difference in efficacy between the two groups was observed.The score data before and after treatment were calculated with SPSS22.0.The adverse reactions and adverse events occurred during the treatment were recorded to ensure the safety of the treatment.Results:(1)Comparison of clinical efficacy: after the course of treatment,the clinical cure rate and effective rate of the experimental group were better than that of the control group,and the results were statistically significant(P < 0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment,the clinical cure rate of the experimental group was 6%,the apparent efficiency was 51.5%,the effective rate was 30.3%,and the total effective rate was 90.9%.The clinical efficiency of the control group was 21.2%,the effective rate was 57.5%,and the total effective rate was78.78%.(2)Changes in PSQI scale scores: the total PSQI scores in the experimental group and the control group before and after treatment were statistically significant(P < 0.05).The comparison of post-treatment scores between the two groups was statistically significant(P< 0.05).The comparison of post-treatment scores between the two groups was statistically significant(P < 0.05).The difference between the two groups of single-factor score before and after treatment was compared,among which,the difference between the two groups of sleep time,sleep efficiency and daytime dysfunction before and after treatment was statistically significant(P < 0.01).The differences in sleep quality,sleep time and sleep disorders were statistically significant(P < 0.05).(3)Changes in kidney-yang deficiency syndrome score: in the control group,there was no statistical significance in kidney-yang deficiency syndrome score before and after treatment(P >0.05).In the experimental group,the scores of kidney-yang deficiency syndrome before and after treatment were statistically significant(P < 0.05),and the scores of chills,cold limbs,mental fatigue,and night urinary frequency before and after treatment in the experimental group were statistically significant(P < 0.01),while the other scores were statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture combined with moxibustion with aconite cake and umbilicus was more effective in improving the patients’ sleep quality and kidney-yang deficiency syndrome than taking zopicone orally.
