Study On The Status Quo Of Active Aging Of Rural Elderly In Luzhou City

Objective: To understand the current situation of active aging of the elderly aged 60 and above in rural areas of Luzhou City,and analyze the factors influencing the realization of active aging of the elderly in rural areas.Methods: From August to November 2019,Adopting stratified random sampling method,three districts were randomly selected from three municipal districts and four counties governed by Luzhou City in Sichuan Province,and each town randomly selected one village.Rural elderly who met inclusion criteria were selected to conduct the questionnaire survey.Four investigators with clinical work experience and unified professional training entered the three rural areas,and conducted face-to-face interview and questionnaire survey on the elderly in rural areas of Luzhou City by using Chinese version of active aging scale(AAS),general information questionnaire designed by researchers and Barthel index rating scale.A total of 225 questionnaires were distributed.225 questionnaires were recovered,and 210 were effective,with an effective questionnaire rate of 93.33%.The data were sorted out and entered in time.SPSS26.0 statistical software was used for statistical analysis.Results:The total score of active aging among the elderly in rural areas of Luzhou was(77.59±10.13),which was below the average.The lowest score was found in “establishing economic balance”dimension(1.63±0.53).“Promote own matters”got the highest score(3.13±0.48).Normal test was conducted on the measurement data,and the results showed the score of active aging followed normal distribution.Therefore,the independent sample t test was used for comparison between the two groups,and the one-way analysis of variance was used for comparison between multiple groups.Spearman rank correlation analysis showed that age(rs =-0.400,P < 0.001),marital status(rs =-0.382,P< 0.001),education level(rs = 0.456,P < 0.001),number of children(rs =-0.295,P < 0.001),pre retirement occupation(rs =-0.355,P < 0.001)and personal monthly income(rs = 0.523,P < 0.001),monthly expenditure(rs =-0.735,P < 0.001),sleep disturbance(rs = 0.350,P < 0.001),whether they have endowment insurance(rs = 0.345,P < 0.001),whether they have retirement pension(rs =-0.252,P < 0.001),hobbies(rs =-0.402,P < 0.001),routine drug use(rs =-0.404,P < 0.001)and chronic diseases(rs =-0.474,P < 0.001),the number of hospitalizations in the past year(rs =-0.345,P < 0.001),the main forms of entertainment(rs = 0.515,P < 0.001),whether they are willing to continue to work if they have the opportunity(rs =-0.260,P < 0.001),the degree of disability(rs =-0.543,P < 0.001)and other demographic characteristics were correlated with the total score of active aging.So those acting as independent variables,taking the total score of the active aging as the dependent variable.SPSS26.0 software was used for multiple linear regression analysis.The results showed that different age,marital status,pre retirement occupation,whether they have endowment insurance,monthly expenditure,main entertainment mode and disability degree were the factors influencing the score of active aging of the elderly in rural areas of Luzhou city(P < 0.05).Conclusion:The score of active aging of rural elderly is in the lower middle level,and the status quo of active aging needs to be improved.According to the analysis of the influencing factors of active aging,the government and relevant departments should establish and improve the old-age security system,appropriately increase the financial subsidies and policy security for the rural old-age system,promote the development of elderly education,constantly enrich the social life of the rural elderly,improve their social participation,moderately carry out the elderly social activities for the single elderly,and encourage the elderly adhere to an open and inclusive concept of marriage and love,enrich the spiritual and cultural life of the elderly,improve the rural infrastructure for the elderly,improve the quality of life of the elderly,pay special attention to the sick,the weak,the disabled and other special elderly people,and carry out mutual assistance services for the disabled elderly.We should promote the construction of Geriatrics,public health and other comprehensive disciplines,cultivate compound professional elderly care service talents,and help the elderly achieve active aging with the participation of family、government and society.
