Clinical Experience Summary Of Professor Xu Youqi In Treating Gastric Cancer

Objective:Based on Professor Xu Youqi’s clinical experience in treating gastric cancer by means of data mining,we are supposed to let the clinical experience and academic thought of Professor Xu Youqi can be better summarized,inherited and developed,in order to provide guidance and method for diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer in Chinese Medicine.Methods:We sort out the medical records of gastric cancer from September 2018 to August 2020 by Professor Xu Youqi’s treatment in accordance with the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria,and build a data base,and then standardize medical records information.We use the frequency analysis,correlation analysis and cluster analysis to find the regulations among gender,age,symptoms,tongue body and tongue coating,pulse condition,therapy,formulation and herbs,and combine with Professor Xu Youqi ’s academic thought to analyze,induce and summarize the mining results.Results:65 patients’ cases were collected in this study,with a total of 257 consultations,involving 26 therapies and 154 Chinese herbs.General data:There are 44 male patients(175 consultations),and 21 female patients(82 consultations),with a male-to-female ratio about 2:1.Gastric cancer is often found in 60-69 years old age group.The clinical manifestations are mainly systemic symptoms(fatigue,emaciation,insomnia)and digestive system symptoms(poor appetite,epigastric pain,sour regurgitation,belch).the commonest tongue is reddish,commonest tongue coating is thin white,commonest pulse is thin;The therapy is centered on tonifying spleen and eliminating evil.The herbs with a frequency of more than 80%are Baizhu,Gancao,Dangshen,Chenpi,Fuling,Shanyao,Banxia,Xianhecao.Among them,the commonest function of herbs is Qi-tonifying;the commonest four property is warm and flat,the taste is dominated by sweetness.Medications are mainly based on spleen and lung meridian.The main herb pairs are Dangshen-Baizhu,Sharen-Zhiqiao,Jixueteng-Danggui,Xuanshen-Zhebeimu,Tusizi-Shudihuang.The main triangle herb combinations are Fuling-Chenpi-Banxia,Shanzha-Shenqu-Maiya.Conclusion:It is found that:(1)The basic pathogenesis of gastric cancer is weakness of spleen and stomach,clogs of pathogenic toxin.Pathological factors are Qi stagnation,cuspidor coagulation,blood stasis,dampness and heat.(2)Professor Xu Youqi’s principle of treating gastric cancer is to strengthen healthy Qi and eliminate evils.Strengthening healthy Qi is based on invigorating the spleen,combined with the methods of invigorating Qi and replenishing blood,reinforcing kidney and nourishing Yin.Removing evils takes detoxification as the center,with the treatment of smoothing liver and regulating Qi,reducing phlegm and resolving masses,promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis,clearing heat and dampness.(3)Professor Xu’s core prescriptions to treat gastric cancer are Liujunzi decoction and Jianpi Huatan decoction.On this basis,flexible addition and subtraction can be made in combination with patients’clinical manifestations and pathological factors.(4)The characteristics of Professor Xu’s in prescribing medicine to treat gastric cancer:1.Integrated Chinese and Western Medicine and applied with complex decoction.2.Tonifying spleen throughout the disease progress.3.Reducing phlegm and resolving masses in case to prevent recurrence and metastasis.4.Aim to keep balance and moderation.5.Attention on congenital origin in order to strengthen the vital essence and primordial Qi.
