Clinical Study On "Qufengzhike Decoction" In Treating Wind-evil Invasive Laryngeal Cough

Background:Patients with laryngeal cough often seek medical treatment for itchy throat and continuous coughing.Modern medicine has conducted research on laryngeal cough and believes that the occurrence of this disease is mainly related to allergies,upper respiratory tract infections,stimulation of gastroesophageal reflux,autonomic disorders and other reasons.In terms of treatment,the main focus is on symptomatic treatment and etiological treatment,and the treatment effect is often not satisfactory.The use of traditional Chinese medicine to treat laryngeal cough can flexibly adjust the prescription based on the combination of disease differentiation and syndrome differentiation,and the treatment effect is also satisfactory.In the process of following the medical work of the instructor,the author realized that the invasion of wind pathogen is an important pathogenesis of the occurrence and change of laryngeal cough.When the instructor treats the wind-evil invasive laryngeal cough,the main treatment methods are to expel wind and relieve itching,regulate the lungs and relieve cough,and use the Qufengzhike Decoction for treatment,which has a good effect.Objectives:By observing the symptom scores of Qufengzhike Decoction and Compound Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride Oral Solution before and after the treatment of wind-evil invasive laryngeal cough,the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine in the treatment of laryngeal cough is compared,and the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine decoction in the treatment of laryngeal cough is explained.It is better than western medicine,which is conducive to promoting the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of otolaryngology diseases.Methods:From March 2020 to March 2021,60 patients with wind-evil invasive laryngeal cough were collected from the Outpatient Department of the Otolaryngology,Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine,and these 60 people were divided into a traditional Chinese medicine group(treatment group)and a western medicine group(control group),with 30 people in each group.Among them,the traditional Chinese medicine group was treated with Qufengzhike Decoction as the basic prescription,and the western medicine group was treated with Compound Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride Oral Solution(Robitussin).There are 2 courses of treatment in total,each course takes 7 days.By analyzing the total scores of pre-and post-treatment symptoms,as well as the scores of primary and secondary symptoms,to compare the therapeutic effects of Qufengzhike Decoction and Compound Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride Oral Solution(Robitussin)in treating wind-induced invasive laryngeal coughResults:(1)Total clinical efficacy evaluation:In the traditional Chinese medicine group,2 cases were clinically cured,20 cases were markedly effective,8 cases were effective,and 0 cases were ineffective.The cure rate was 73.33%.In the western medicine group,0 cases were clinically cured,12 cases were markedly effective,17 cases were effective,and 0 cases were ineffective.The cure rate was 41.38%.Comparing the total scores of symptoms and signs of the two groups of patients within and between groups,it can be found that Qufengzhike Decoction and Compound Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride Oral Solution(Robitussin)can effectively treat throat cough caused by wind pathogens.The curative effect of Qufengzhike Decoction is better.(2)Evaluation of the efficacy of primary and secondary symptoms and signs;Both Qufengzhike Decoction and Compound Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride Oral Solution(Robitussin)can effectively improve dry cough,pharynx-itch,pharyngoxerosis,pharynx-ache,pharyngeal foreign sensation,expectoration,anemophobia,nasal congestion and runny nose,and laryngeal mucosal hyperemia during the process of wind-evil invasive laryngeal cough.Among them,Qufengzhike Decoction is more effective in improving dry cough,pharynx-itch,pharyngoxerosis,pharynx-ache,pharyngeal foreign sensation,expectoration,and anemophobia than Compound Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride Oral Solution(Robitussin).They are basically the same in treating nasal congestion and runny nose and laryngeal mucosal hyperemia,with no significant difference.Both have no obvious effect on improving lymphofollicular hyperplasia of pharynx.Inconclusions:The use of Qufengzhike Decoction to treat wind-evil invasive laryngeal cough can exert a significant effect.For dry cough,pharynx-itch,pharyngoxerosis,pharynx-ache,pharyngeal foreign sensation,expectoration,anemophobia,nasal congestion and runny nose,laryngeal mucosal hyperemia,Qufengzhike Decoction can effectively play a therapeutic role in the process of wind-evil invasive laryngeal cough.The Qufengzhike Decoction has no obvious adverse reactions when used at the therapeutic dose,and it has practical clinical value.
