Objective:The patients with cerebral infarction are treated with conventional treatment, plus scalp acupuncture and high frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation(rTMS).The effects of the two treatment methods on the recovery of motor function of patients are observed and evaluated by the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS)and Fugl-Meyer Assessment Scale(FMA),aiming to optimize the treatment, and to explore whether there exit differences of the effect of the motor function between scalp acupuncture and high frequency rTMS.Methods:According to the relevant diagnosis and inclusion indexes,54 patients with cerebral infarction who are treated in the Acupuncture and Rehabilitation Department of Jiangsu Province Hospital of Chinese Medicine are selected and randomly divided into the rTMS group(n=27)and the scalp acupuncture group(n=27).54 cases are included, and 3 cases are abscessed.A total of 51 patients are enrolled, including 26 in the rTMS group and 25 in the scalp acupuncture group.Patients in both groups received conventional drug therapy, body acupuncture therapy and rehabilitation training as the basic treatment for 2 weeks.Additionally,High frequency(3HZ)rTMS is applied to the rTMS group, while the scalp acupuncture group are treated with scalp acupuncture on the anterior oblique line of vsertex-temporal.The scores of NIHSS and FMA are recorded and analyzed before treatment,2 weeks and 1 month after treatment.Result:(1)NIHSS:Intra-group comparison:Compared with before, the NIHSS score of both of the two groups are decreased after 2 weeks and 1 month after the treatment(P<0.05),and the score also exits statistical difference between 2 weeks and 1 month after treatment(P<0.05).Comparison between groups:There is no statistically significant difference in scores between 2 groups after 2 weeks and 1 month of treatment(P>0.05).(2)FMA:Intra-group comparison:Compared with before, the FMA total score,FMA upper limb score and FMA lower limb score of both of the two groups are increased after 2 weeks and 1 month after the treatment(P<0.05),and all three scores exit statistical difference between 2 weeks and 1 month after treatment(P<0.05).Comparison between groups:There is no statistically significant difference in scores between 2 groups after 2 weeks and 1 month of treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion:(1)Both Scalp acupuncture and high frequency rTMS can play a therapeutic role in the neurological deficits and motor dysfunction of patients with cerebral infarction;(2)From the scores, after 2 weeks and 1 month of treatment,no difference in the improvement of neurological deficits and motor dysfunction is observed between scalp acupuncture and high-frequency rTMS.
