Objective(s):Through meta-analysis,the safety and effectiveness of hair transplantation in the treatment of scalp scarring were demonstrated, providing evidence-based medical evidence for clinical support. Methods:Retrieved CNKI,Chinese Biomedical Literature Service System,Wanfang Data,VIP Data,Web of Science,PubMed,Embase,OVID,Cochrance and other databases. To collect the literature about hair transplantation for the treatment of cicatricial scalp alopecia.According to inclusion and exclusion criteria, literatures were screened, literature quality was evaluated, and data were extracted.Literature screening was conducted independently by two reviewers, and the data extraction table was drawn.Stata 15.1 software was used for Meta-analysis of the included literatures. Results:In the end,27 articles were included in the study with a total of 1102 patients, including 20 patients with primary cicatric alopecia, including 4 FFA(Frontal fibrous alopecia)patients,4 LPP(Lichen planopilaris)patients,10 linear scleroderma patients,2 CCCA(Central eccentric cicatricial alopecia)patients, and the remaining 1082 patients with secondary cicatric alopecia. In patients with primary cicatricial alopecia, the median duration of disease was 2.25 years before hair transplantation.Meta-analysis results showed that:(1)After blemish hair loss surgery, the combined survival rate of hair transplantation was 89.5%(95%CI 83.5%-95.5%),and the comprehensive satisfaction rate of physicians was 100%(95%CI 59%-100%).The complication rate after operation was 1%(95%CI 0.3-3.3.0%).(2)FUE subgroup analysis:Through the analysis of combination rate, patient satisfaction and complication rate of FUE group and FUTgroup were basically the same, but the FUT group had an increased survival rate compared to the FUE group,(3)Subgroup analysis of follow-up time:the difference was not statistically significant.(4)The incidence of complications after HT is relatively low,and the complications generally include folliculitis, hypertrophic scar, dermoid cyst, infection, etc. Conclusion(s):The results of this study indicate that hair transplantation is of certain value in the treatment of cicatricial alopecia on the scalp. The above conclusions need to be further verified by RCT study.
