| ObjectiveSudden hearing loss is a disease that occurs suddenly within 72 hours,with obvious hearing loss as the main manifestation.It is often accompanied by tinnitus,ear fullness and dizziness,which has a great impact on the work and life to its patients.As modern people’s bad living habits are becoming more and more common,their physical fitness is decreasing,and the incidence of deafness due to deficiency of qi and blood is increasing.In the study,under the basic treatment of western medicine,2 treatment methods was taken to treat sudden hearing loss with qi and blood deficiency type,which were ginger moxibustion of ear combined with acupuncture method and simple acupuncture method.After the 2 treatment methods,we analyzed and compared the improvement of average hearing threshold of impaired frequency and deafness symptoms,to observe the clinical effect of ginger moxibustion of ear method on the treatment of sudden hearing loss with qi and blood deficiency type.So that the clinical bases of ginger moxibustion of ear method could be provided,and a more effective treatment method to treat sudden hearing loss with qi and blood deficiency type could be summarized.Methods1.According to the clinical trial principle of randomized control,60 eligible patients with sudden hearing loss with qi and blood deficiency type were randomly divided into ginger moxibustion of ear combined with acupuncture method group and simple acupuncture method group,with 30 cases in each group.2.2 groups were treated with intravenous infusion of dexamethasone for 5 days as a basic treatment.3.For the patients of ginger moxibustion of ear combined with acupuncture method group,first and foremost,their affected ear were treated with ginger moxibustion,and then they were treated with conventional acupuncture.While the the patients of simple acupuncture method group were only treated with conventional acupuncture.4.The ginger moxibustion of ear method took a slice of ginger with an area of 4cm × 3 cm and a thickness of about 2mm,puncture a few holes,and cover it on the affected ear.Then take a 50:1 moxa and knead it into a moxa clot,putting it on the ginger slice and burning 9 times.5.The simple acupuncture method took TE21,SI19,GB2,and TE17 as the main points to stab directly,and the matching points CV6,as well as ST36 on two sides were stabbed and reinforced by twisting needle 9 times.Keep the needle for 30 minutes.6.Ginger moxibustion of ear method and simple acupuncture method were taken once a day,1 day rest after 6 days consecutive treatment.1 week is a course of treatment,and the two groups were treated for 2 courses of the treatment.7.After 2 courses of treatment,the changes average hearing threshold of impaired frequency and TCM deafness syndrome scores such as main symptom score,tinnitus score,ear fullness score,dizziness score,self score and total scores of the 2 groups before and after treatment were observed,and the clinical efficacy of the two groups was evaluated.Results1.There were no statistically significant differences between the 2 groups of the base data such as age,course of disease,gender,affected ear,listening curve typing and hearing impairment classification,as well as average hearing threshold of impaired frequency and TCM deafness syndrome scores before treatment(P>0.05),so that the 2 groups were comparable.2.After 2 courses of the treatment,among the 30 patients in ginger moxibustion of ear combined with acupuncture method group,8 cases were cured,12 cases were markedly effective,7 cases were improved,and 3 cases were not getting better.The total effective rate was 90.0%(27/30).Among the 30 patients in simple acupuncture method group,4 cases were cured,8 cases were markedly effective,12 cases were improved,and 6 cases were not getting better.The total effective rate was 80.0%(24/30).After statistical analysis,the intergroup comparison showed that the clinical efficacy in ginger moxibustion of ear combined with acupuncture method group was superior to that in simple acupuncture method group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).3.After treatment,the average hearing threshold of impaired frequency in the 2 groups were obviously decreased in comparison with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the decrease of the average hearing threshold of impaired frequency in ginger moxibustion of ear combined with acupuncture method group was superior to that in simple acupuncture method group,the difference being statistically significant(P<0.05).It showed that ginger moxibustion of ear combined with acupuncture method and simple acupuncture method were effective in improving the patient’s hearing loss significantly,but the efficacy of ginger moxibustion of ear combined with acupuncture method group was better.4.After treatment,the TCM deafness syndrome scores such as main symptom score,tinnitus score,ear fullness score,dizziness score,self score and total scores in the 2 groups were obviously decreased in comparison with those before treatment(P<0.05).And the two treatments had the same effect on the reduction of tinnitus score and vertigo score,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).But the decrease of scores main symptom,ear fullness,self-evaluation and total syndrome in ginger moxibustion of ear combined with acupuncture method group was superior to that in simple acupuncture method group,the difference being statistically significant(P<0.05).It showed that ginger moxibustion of ear combined with acupuncture method and simple acupuncture method were effective in improving the patient’s hearing loss significantly,and they had the same effect on the improvement of tinnitus score and vertigo score,but the improvement of scores main symptom,ear fullness,self-evaluation and total syndrome in ginger moxibustion of ear combined with acupuncture method group was better.5.In the course of the study,no serious adverse reactions and patient shedding occurred,indicating that the safety of the study is worthy of recognition.ConclusionGinger moxibustion of ear method has a definite effect on the treatment of sudden hearing loss with qi and blood deficiency type.And comparing to simple acupuncture method,ginger moxibustion of ear method could improve haring loss,ear fullness feeling and subjective feelings of the patient,which deserves to be clinical promotion and application. |
