Objective1.To investigate the status quo and influencing factors of the post competency of junior nurses in the operating room of three tertiary Class A hospitals in Yantai City.2.To explore application of CDIO mode in the training of operating room junior nurses and its effect evaluation,so as to provide theoretical basis for improving the competency-position fit of operating room junior nurses.MethodsThe control study method was adopted in this study, and the cluster sampling method was used to select 140 operating room junior nurses of three tertiary Class A hospitals in Yantai City. The researchers started with the first phase of the baseline survey, and organized the on-site distribution of general information questionnaire, post competency scale of operating room nurses, the GSES,and the perceived ability-job fit scale, and assessed the theoretical knowledge and operation skills of operating room. The CDIO model was selected to conduct the training of the research object for 8 weeks, which was guided by the post competency. The training is divided into four stages.(1)Conceive:nurses were divided into groups to check according to their level of competence.(2)Design:nurses were instructed to design the operating room nursing work module of the selected case and draw a flowchart.(3)Implement:According to the flow chart, different roles are simulated in the operation room to complete a surgery, and the actual problems will be analyzed and comparisoned with theory.(4)Operate:after each training, the leader of each group and the instructor shall summarize the course in the form of PPT,and timely adjust the training plan. The junior nurses were evaluated again at the 8th week after intervention.Results1.The status quo and influencing factors of post competency of junior nurses in operating room before trainingBefore the training, the total score of the post competency of the junior nurses in the operating room was(87.77±8.80),which was at the middle level, and the scores of each dimension from high to low were:specialized knowledge, individual motivation, professional ability and individual characteristics.One-way analysis of variance show that:compared with the total score of post competency among the groups with different education background, different professional titles and different levels of operating room junior nurses, the difference was statistically significant(t=4.894,t=3.574,f=4.966,P<0.05).There was a positive correlation between self-efficacy and all dimensions of post competence(r=0.494,P<0.05).Multivariate linear regression analysis results show that:energy level and self-efficacy were the main influencing factors of post competency of junior nurses in operating room, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).2.Comparison of post competency, theoretical knowledge and operation ability of junior nurses in operating room before and after trainingAt the 8th week of training, the total score of post competency of junior nurses in operating room was(95.25±7.90),which was at a higher level, and statistically significant(t=7.248,P<0.05)compared with(87.77±8.80)before training. The scores of professional knowledge, professional ability, personal characteristics and personality motivation of the junior nurses in operating room were(33.94±4.02),(19.82±2.71),(32.48±3.48),(12.48±1.58)respectively,which were significantly different from those before training(32.73±4.60),(18.75±3.06),(31.21±4.19),(11.39±1.85)(t=6.414,t=6.409,t=7.810,t=6.093,P<0.05)。The scores of theoretical knowledge and operational skills of junior nurses in operating room were(90.56±2.36)and(90.65±2.23)respectively.Compared with the scores before training(84.23±2.20)and(85.34±2.04),the differences were statistically significant(t=6.423,t=6.552,P<0.05).3.Comparison of self-efficacy and post competence matching scores of junior nurses in operating room before and after trainingAt the 8th week of training, the score of self-efficacy of junior nurses in operating room was(28.18±3.71),which was at a higher level, and statistically significant(t=6.582,P<0.05)compared with that before training(25.51±3.36).The total score of competency post matching of junior nurses in operating room was(19.62±2.87),which was at a higher level, and statistically significant(t=5.574,P<0.05)compared with that before training(18.47±2.21).Conclusion1.The competency of junior nurses in the operating room of three tertiary Class A hospitals in Yantai City is at the middle level, and the main influencing factors are energy level and self-efficacy.2.The CDIO model can improve nurses’ post competence in the training of junior nurses in the operating room guided by post competence, and can enhance nurses’ sense of self-efficacy,improve nurses’ ability post matching degree in the training of junior nurses in operating room.
