Clinical Observation On Treatment Of Tinea Manus And Pedis With Begonia Clove Gel

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Begonia clove gel in the treatment of tinea manus and pedis.Methods 76 patients with tinea manus and pedis were randomly divided into treatment group and control group.The treatment group was Begonia clove gel group and the control group was Terbinafine Hydrochloride Gel group.After the affected area was cleaned,the treatment group used the Begonia clove gel evenly outside and gently rubbed.The control group was treated with Terbinafine Hydrochloride Gel.The above treatments were used for 4 weeks.Before and after treatment,clinical symptoms and signs were scored,fungi were examined,and the curative effect was summarized.Results 1.Compared with the Terbinafine Hydrochloride Gel group,the cure rate of the Begonia clove gel group was significantly different from that of the Terbinafine Hydrochloride Gel group(P<0.05).The effective rate of the Begonia clove gel group was different from that of the Terbinafine Hydrochloride Gel group(P<0.05).2.There was no significant difference in the effective rate between damp heat accumulation type and blood deficiency and wind dryness type in the Begonia clove gel group(P<0.05).3.Compared with the Terbinafine Hydrochloride Gel group,there was no significant difference in the symptom scores before and after treatment(P>0.05).There was a significant difference in the score after treatment(P<0.05).4.There was no significant difference in mycological efficacy between the Begonia clove gel group and the Terbinafine Hydrochloride Gel group(P>0.05).5.There was a significant difference in the recurrence rate between the Begonia clove gel group and the Terbinafine Hydrochloride Gel group(P<0.05).6.There was no treatment related adverse reaction during the treatment of Begonia clove gel group and Terbinafine Hydrochloride Gel group.Conclusion Begonia clove gel is effective and safe for the treatment of tinea manus and pedis.
