| The outbreak of COVID-19 in early 2020 has become one of the most concerned public health emergencies in the world.Facing the attack of unknown virus,it is not only the crown pneumonia epidemic but also the public panic.Group infection of panic will lead to group events and hinder the process of national epidemic prevention and control.Therefore,this study discusses the influencing factors of public panic spread in public health emergencies,hoping to help ease public panic.In this paper,the semi-structured interview method is used to collect the relevant data of 19 Chinese public mood swings which caused panic in the COVID-19 epidemic,and the grounded theory is used to analyze the interview data,and 40 initial concepts,16 main categories and 6 core categories which influence the spread of public panic are summarized.Finally,the conceptual model is constructed with the help of the research framework of S-O-R theory.It is found that information factors,individual characteristics,social support,individual inner perception,group pressure and event components will influence public panic,and event components will act on information,environment and social support,thus influencing public panic through the intermediary of individual inner perception.Individual characteristics can adjust the influence of information,environment and social support stimulation on emotional cognition.The communication model of public panic mood in public health emergencies obtained in this study not only integrates theories from different disciplines,but also provides a new path for the study of panic mood,which has important theoretical value.At the same time,it also provides ideas for the state and the media to ease the public panic mood when public health emergencies occur,and how to relieve the public panic mood. |
