Objective: To study the correlation between colorectal polyps and NAFLD,and to analyze the risk factors for colorectal polyps.Method: A total of 354 patients who were hospitalized in the Department of Gastroenterology of the Affiliated Hospital of Yan ’an University from January 2017 to December 2019 and had completed relevant laboratory, colonoscopy and pathology, abdominal B-ultrasound or upper abdominal CT examinations were collected as the research subjects.According to the results of colonoscopy,354 subjects were divided into the colorectal polyp group(169 cases)and the non-polyp group(185 cases). The general information between the two groups was analyzed and compared: gender, age, weight,BMI,hypertension, diabetes,NAFLD prevalence, smoking or not, etc.Laboratory data: CEA,FPG,UA,TG,TC,HDL,LDL,ALT,AST,ALP,GGT.According to abdominal ultrasound or upper abdominal CT results, the patients were further divided into two groups: the NAFLD group and the non-NAFLD group. The incidence of colorectal polyps in the two groups and the relationship between colorectal polyps and NAFLD in pathological type, location, size and number were analyzed.Logistic regression was used to analyze the risk factors of colorectal polyps.P < 0.05 indicated that the difference was statistically significant.Result: 1.Compared with the non-polyp group, the polyp group had higher age, body weight,BMI and prevalence of male(P < 0.05).The prevalence of smoking, hypertension and NAFLD in the two groups were 25(15.0%)and 15(8.1%),42(24.9%)and 21(11.4%),49(29.0%)and 23(12.4%),the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in the prevalence of diabetes between the two groups(P=0.152).2.Comparison of laboratory indicators between the two groups showed that CEA, UA,TG,ALT,GGT values in polyp group were higher than those in non-polyp group(P < 0.05),while there were no statistical differences in FPG,TC,HDL,LDL,AST,ALP levels between the two groups(P > 0.05).3.According to the presence or absence of NAFLD,the patients were divided into two groups: NAFLD group and NAFLD group. The incidence of colorectal polyps between the two groups was 68.1% vs 42.6%,P < 0.001.According to the pathological type, size, number and location of colorectal polyps in the two groups, the proportion of adenomatous polyps in the two groups was 43(87.8%)and 88(73.3%),respectively,and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.042).There was no statistical significance in the size, number and location of polyps between the two groups(P > 0.05).4.Univariate Logistic regression analysis showed that age, body weight,BMI,gender, hypertension and NAFLD were risk factors for colorectal polyps, and their OR values and 95% confidence intervals were: OR: 1.841,95%CI: 1.164-2.911,respectively.OR: 1.026,95%CI: 1.009-1.044,OR: 1.094,95%CI: 1.030-1.162,OR: 1.531,95%CI: 1.348-1.812,OR: 2.583,95%CI: 1.457-4.580,OR: 2.876,95%CI: 1.661-4.979.According to univariate analysis results, multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that gender, age, hypertension and NAFLD were independent risk factors for colorectal polyps, and their OR values and 95% confidence intervals were: OR: 1.451,95%CI: 1.244-1.831,respectively.OR: 2.021,95%CI: 1.218-3.353,OR: 1.926,95%CI: 1.037-3.578,OR: 2.150,95%CI: 1.159-3.986.Conclusion: 1.Colorectal polyps(especially adenomatous polyps)are associated with NFAL D.2.Gender(male),age(≥50 years),hypertension and NAFLD were independent risk factors for the occurrence of colorectal polyps.
