| ObjectivesHealth literacy is the process by which people acquire, understand and adopt health information and services, and use these information and services to make correct judgments and decisions to promote their own health. However,SLE patients are usually involved in diseases of multiple organ systems, with complex drug treatment regimens and frequent outpatient and biochemical indicators detection. Therefore, high health literacy is very important for the management of the disease.(1)To understand the status of health literacy, family care, social support and sleep quality of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. To explore the correlation between health literacy and family care, social support, sleep quality in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus.(2)To analyze the influencing factors of health literacy in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus,so as to provide reference for medical staff to develop health education strategies, improve patients’health literacy level, enhance self-management ability and improve the quality of life.MethodsThis study adopted a cross-sectional descriptive study and convenient sampling method.395 eligible patients with SLE diagnosed in the outpatient and inpatient departments of the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University and the First Affiliated Hospital of University of Science and Technology of China from April2020 to November 2020 were selected as the object of this study. The research tools used in this survey included the general demographic characteristics questionnaire, the clinical characteristics questionnaire, the SLE disease activity questionnaire, the health literacy questionnaire of patients with chronic diseases, the family care questionnaire, the social support questionnaire and the sleep quality questionnaire. In this study,Epi Data 3.1 software was used to input data, and SPSS 23.0 software was used for statistical analysis of data.Statistical methods included statistical description, independent sample T test,One-Way ANOVA,chi-square test,Mann-Whitney U test,Kruskal-Willis H test,Pearson correlation analysis,Spearman correlation analysis, multiple linear regression and so on.Results(1)The total score of health literacy in SLE patients was(98.91±10.43),and34.7%of the patients did not have health literacy.Among the scores of each dimension, those with poor communication and interaction ability accounted for the highest proportion(77.4%),with an average score of(31.69±6.50);those with poor information acquisition ability accounted for the lowest proportion(5.0%),with an average score of(41.53±3.26).The levels of health literacy were different among SLE patients with different educational level, marital status, family location, occupational status, family per capita monthly income, medical expense payment form and disease activity(all P<0.05).(2)The total score of family care in SLE patients was(6.72±2.30)points,and173(54.4%)patients scored above 7 points, that is,good family function.117(36.8%)patients scored between 4 and 6 points, that is,moderate family dysfunction;Twenty-eight(8.8%)patients scored below 3,indicating severe family dysfunction. The family care level of SLE patients with different nationalities and educational levels is also different(all P<0.05).(3)The total score of social support in SLE patients was(37.43±7.72),11(2.8%)patients scored below 22,indicating a low level of social support,311(78.7%)patients scored between 23 and 44,indicating a general level of social support, and 73(18.5%)patients scored higher than 45,indicating a high level of social support. The social support level of SLE patients is also different with different age, marital status, family per capita monthly income and medical expenses payment form(all P<0.05).(4)The M(P25,P75)of the total score of sleep quality in SLE patients was6.00(4.00,9.00),34.2%of patients with good sleep quality,33.2%of patients with normal sleep quality, and 32.7%of patients with sleep disorders. The sleep quality of SLE patients varied with age, educational level, marital status, family monthly income per capita, and disease activity(all P<0.05).(5)Pearson correlation analysis showed that the relationship between health literacy and family care in SLE patients(r=0.377,P<0.001),social support(r=0.428,P<0.001).Spearman correlation analysis showed that health literacy was negatively correlated with sleep quality in SLE patients(r=-0.210,P<0.001).(6)The results of multivariate analysis showed that the main influencing factors of health literacy of patients with SLE were education level, family per capita monthly income, family location, payment form of medical expenses, family care, and social support(all P<0.05),while other demographic characteristics and sleep quality had no statistical significance on health literacy of SLE patients.Conclusions(1)The health literacy of patients with SLE is still at a low level.Education level, per capita monthly income of the family, family location, payment form of medical expenses, family care and social support affect the health literacy level of patients.(2)The family care, social support and sleep quality of SLE patients were all in the lower middle level.(3)The health literacy of SLE patients was positively correlated with family care and social support, and negatively correlated with sleep quality. |
