Effect Of Tongqiao Huoxue Decoction On Cognitive Function And Oxidative Stress Indexes In Patients With Acute Ischemic Stroke

1.PurposeIn this study,we observed the effect of Tongqiao Huoxue Decoction on cognitive function and the expression of MDA and SOD.And to explore its possible mechanism of action,to provide clinical scientific basis for the advantage of Tongqiao Huoxue Decoction in the treatment of cognitive decline of acute ischemic stroke.2 MethodsPatients with acute ischemic stroke complicated with cognitive impairment in Anhui Provincial Hospital of traditional Chinese medicine from December 2018 to December 2020 were selected as the research objects.The general data of the patients were collected at the time of admission.The clinical and laboratory data before and 90 days after treatment were analyzed with NIHSS,Moca,MDA and SOD levels.3 ResultsIn this study,64 patients with acute ischemic stroke complicated with cognitive dysfunction were selected as the experimental subjects,4 cases showed pathological shedding,including 28 cases in the treatment group and 32 cases in the control group.(2)NIHSS score of treatment group(3.99±0.32)at 90 days after treatment was significantly lower than that before treatment(7.15±0.95).The improvement degree of NIHSS score in the treatment group 90 days after surgery(3.16±0.95)was higher than that in the control group(2.28±0.81),with statistical difference(P <0.05).(3)The score of MOCA 90 days after treatment(23.94±3.01)was higher than that before treatment(19.50±3.73),and the cognitive function of treatment group was better than that before treatment.The improvement degree of MOCA score in treatment group 90 days after taking medicine(4.44±2.34)was higher than that in control group(2.68±2.02),with statistical difference(P <0.05).(4)The MDA level(3.11±0.34)in the treatment group 90 days after medication was lower than that before medication(7.19±0.68),and the SOD level(123.31±5.61)in the treatment group 90 days after medication was higher than that before medication(81.99±4.03).The improvement of oxidative stress response in the treatment group 90 days after medication was higher than that in the control group,with statistical difference(P <0.05).4 ConclusionTongqiao Huoxue Decoction Combined with western medicine can significantly improve the neurological deficit symptoms and cognitive function of patients with acute ischemic stroke compared with western medicine alone,and can significantly reduce the levels of malondialdehyde and superoxide dismutase.
