The COVID-19 epidemic has a severe impact on the global production and living order.Medical workers,as a special group in the period of the COVID-19 epidemic, shoulder a major mission. As an important reserve force for doctors and nurses, nursing students in secondary vocational health schools(hereinafter referred to as secondary nursing students),their learning burnout and professional identity development are affected by the COVID-19 epidemic,as well as influencing factors and paths. The post-era has important practical significance. Before the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic in 2018,the author conducted data collection on the learning burnout and professional identity development of secondary nursing students who were studying at the Shanghai Health School Affiliated Health School and two branch schools. After the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic in early 2020,the author conducted a second collection of the school’s nursing students’ learning burnout, professional identity development, and related professional attitudes affected by the epidemic.By comparing the learning burnout and professional identity development of secondary nursing students before and after the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, the author examines the impact of major public health incidents on the professional knowledge of reserve talents for medical and nursing work, and further explores related intermediary and regulatory variables. The path to change the professional pride of secondary school nursing students in a major epidemic.Study 1 compared the differences in learning burnout and professional identity development of secondary nursing students before and after the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic. The results of the study showed that after the outbreak of the epidemic, the scores of learning burnout of secondary school nursing students decreased, and at the same time,it was subordinated to the three dimensions of professional identity development, namely, professional commitment, professional identity, and empathy scores.Further analysis of influencing factors showed that there were differences in the factors affecting secondary school nursing students’ learning burnout and professional identity development before and after the outbreak. The most prominent is the regression model in which the learning burnout of secondary school nursing students was affected by demographic variables before the outbreak was significant, but such variables no longer have a significant impact on learning burnout after the outbreak. The research results suggest that the major epidemic has stimulated the professional identity of secondary school nursing students, and at the same time reduced the learning burnout of this group.Study 2 compared the differences in the multiple sub-dimensions of learning burnout and professional identity development between the two groups with increased and unchanged professional pride of secondary nursing students after the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, and also discussed the impact of the major epidemic on secondary nursing students Possible factors for change in professional pride. The research results show that nursing students with increased professional pride after the outbreak have stronger empathy ability than those with unchanged pride. At the same time, binary logistic regression analysis shows that the grade of nursing students will affect their professional pride. The change, that is,the professional pride of low-grade nursing students after the outbreak of a major epidemic has increased higher than that of high-grade nursing students. The results of the study suggest that the increase in professional pride of secondary school nursing students after the outbreak of the new crown is related to the change in empathy ability in empathy. At the same time, public health emergencies affect the occupation of junior secondary school nursing students who have just come-into contact with this occupation.Pride has a greater impact.Study 3 established an intermediary model between the grade of secondary school nursing students and their learning burnout and professional identification. At the same time,it further explored the influence of the change in professional pride after the outbreak of the new crown epidemic as a moderating variable on the model. The results of the study showed that the professional identification of the senior secondary nursing students was lower than that of the junior nursing students, and the effect was affected by learning burnout.Specifically, the 2nd and 3rd grade nursing students have a lower sense of effective nursing ability compared with the 1st grade. This change can completely mediate the decreasing effect of nursing students’ professional identity as the grade increases.Further analysis of the moderating effect shows that whether the professional pride of nursing students changes after the outbreak has a significant moderating effect on the decline in learning efficacy as the grade increases.Specifically, the increase in professional pride after the epidemic has offset the learning burnout caused by rising grades. The results of the study suggest that with the increase in grades, the learning burnout of secondary nursing students is more and more manifested, and the professional identity of themselves decreases. However,we can see that after major public health incidents, some of the nursing students gained new knowledge of their professions during the incident, and nursing students with increased professional pride were not affected by this law and played a positive role.In summary, this study found that after the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic, the learning burnout of secondary school nursing students has decreased, and at the same time professional identity(including professional commitment, professional identity, and empathy)has improved.Further analysis found that whether the professional pride changed after the outbreak of the new crown epidemic was used as the grouping standard, and the lower grade nursing students were more affected by the epidemic than the upper grade nursing students. The specific manifestation was that the professional pride increased significantly after the outbreak.Through a moderated mediation analysis,it is found that this increase in pride can offset the learning burnout and the decline in professional recognition caused by the increase in the grade. The results of this study suggest that major epidemics have a certain positive significance for the special status of secondary nursing students, which can stimulate the professional identification and learning motivation of the medical professional reserve army, and such changes are more reflected in the juniors who have just come into contact with this profession.(Year 1)Nursing students, that is,this kind of nursing students is more plastic in terms of professional identity. |
