Salsola collina Pall.,the whole herb of Salsola in Chenopodiaceae,is often planted as a sand control vegetationin desertified areas in our country.After being harvested in spring,the above-ground part of the seedlings are boiled and eaten as edible wild vegetables,and then the blood pressure will decrease.It has been reported in the literature that both Salsola collina contain active ingredients that raise blood pressure and lower blood pressure,but there is no clear research on blood pressure lowering or blood pressure raising chemical components.In order to clarify the chemical composition of blood pressure,the study screened the antihypertensive active parts of Salsola collina’s seedling stage and flower and fruit stage,and isolated the chemical composition of the parts extracted with 95% ethanol.The antihypertensive activity of different extraction parts were screened by high performance liquid chromatography.The results showed that the nbutanol and aqueous parts of the seedlings had antihypertensive activity,and the aqueous parts of the flower and fruit stage had pressure increasing activity.The petroleum ether,dichloromethane and ethyl acetate fractions also have the activity of raising or lowering pressure.The dichloromethane and ethyl acetate fractions of the two samples have strong antihypertensive activity at a concentration of 10 mg/m L,and the dichloromethane fraction of the flower and fruit stage has the strongest antihypertensive activity.And 26 compounds were identified from flower and fruit stage of Salsola collina,which included: 8 flavonoids: ayamenin A(3),irisone B(4),irilin B(6),6-hydroxy-7,8-dimethoxycoumaronochromone(7),5,5′,7-trihydr-oxy-2′,6-dimethoxyisoflavone(8),tricin(16),tricin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(25),isorhamn etin-3-O-β-D-glycopyranoside(24);7 phenolic acid compounds: salicylic acid(12),vanillic acid(13),syringic acid(15),4-hydroxycinnamic acid(18),2,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid(20),3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid(21),ferulaic acid(14);3 alkaloid compounds: aurantiamide acetate(9),N-transferuloylmethoxytyramine(17),N-transferuloyltyramine(19);four steroids: β-sitosterol(1),stigmast-3,6-dione(2),β-sitosterol-3-O-glucoside(23a),stigmasterol-3-O-glucoside(23b);a coumarin compound: 6,7-dimethoxycoumarin(5);a cyclohexen-one: cyclohexanone(10);a ethyl terephthalate trimer:carisphthalate(11);a fatty acid: pinellic acid(22).Compound 7 was a not reported new compound and 13 compounds 2-4,6-10,11,15,20,22-23 were isolated from Salsola collina for the first time.The results of the antihypertensive activity screening test showed that compounds 3,7,and 9 have antihypertensive activity.Among them,compound 9 has strong antihypertensive activity,but these antihypertensive effect are weaker than the positive control drug captopril.The results of the anti-inflammatory activity screening test showed that compound 3 has anti-inflammatory activity at the administration concentration of 25,50,and 100 μmol/L;compound 7 has anti-inflammatory activity at the administration concentration of 200 μmol/L.
