Application Of Preoperative Inflammatory Markers NLR,MLR And SII In Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma

Objective:To explore the application value of peripheral blood neutrophil to lym-phocyte ratio(NLR),monocyte to lymphocyte ratio(MLR)and systemicinflammator-y index(SII)in medullary thyroid carcinoma(MTC).Methods:The patients from shengjing hospital affiliated to China medical univers-ity in February 2012 to July 2020 were divided into 50 cases of MTC patients group(MTC),50 patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma(PTC),50 cases of hea-lthy physical examination as the research objects,and three groups of patients are compared with peripheral blood NLR,MLR,SII level difference.Moreover,the app-lication value of the above three indicators in MTC was anal-yzed by receiver o-perating characteristic curve(ROC),and the correlation bet-ween the above three indicators and the clinicopathological characteristics of MTC was analyzed accordi-ng to the cut-off point value of the ROC curve.Results:The NLR of MTC group was significantly higher than that of PTC gr-oup,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).MLR and SII levels of MTC group were significantly higher than those of PTC group and HC groups,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).According to the ROC curve anal-ysis,the area under the ROC curve of NLR,MLR and SII in the single diagnos-is of MTC patients was 0.620,0.681 and 0.634,The ROC cut-off point values of NLR,MLR and SII were 1.92,523.10×10~9/L and 0.26,respectively.According to these,the MTC group was divided into low NLR group(NLR 1.92)and high NLR group(NLR>1.92).Low SII group(SII 523.10×10~9/L),high SII group(S-II>523.10×10~9/L);Low MLR group(MLR 0.26),high MLR group(MLR>0.26).There were statistically significant differences in gender and lymph node metastas-is between the high value group and the low value group(P<0.05),while there were no statistically significant differences in age,bilateral tumor and multiple(P>0.05).There were no significant dif-ferences in NLR,SII groups of age,sex,lymph node metastasis,bilateral tumor and multiple tumor(P>0.05).Conclusion:The levels of NLR,MLR and SII in MTC patients increased significantly,which can be used as an auxiliary differential diagnostic index of MTC.MLR levels were significantly associated with lymph node metastasis in MTC patients.
