The Clinical Study Of Dong’s Extra Acupoints For Treatment Of Tinnitus

ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy of Dong’s extra acupoints and conventional acupuncture in the treatment of tinnitus,and to improve the tinnitus severity,tinnitus disability and depression index of patients,so as to provide a new treatment scheme for clinical treatment of tinnitus.MethodsAccording to the diagnostic criteria,inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria,60 eligible subjects were selected and randomly divided into the treatment group(Dong’s extra acupoints group)with 30 cases and the control group(conventional acupuncture group)with 30 cases.The treatment group selected Sima middle point,Sima upper point,Sima lower point,Linggu point,Wanshun point 1 and Wanshun point 2,and according to the principle of TCM syndrome differentiation,the acupoints were Ganmao 3-points,Minghuang point,Tianhuang point,Qihuang point,Yichong point,Erchong point,Tongguan point,Tongshan point,Tongtian point,Xinmen point and Shenguan point.The methods of “Inverted horse acupuncture” and “Traction acupuncture” were used.In the control group,the acupoints of Tinggong(SI19),Yifeng(SJ17),Posterior temporal line(MS11),Zhongzhu(SJ3),Waiguan(SJ5)and Taixi(KI3)were selected,and the corresponding acupoints were Hegu(LI4),Taichong(LR3),Qiuxu(GB40),Fenglong(ST40),Gongsun(SP4),Qihai(CV6),Zusanli(ST36),Sanyinjiao(SP6),Xinshu(BL15),Guanyuan(CV4)and Shenshu(BL23).All the acupoints are flat reinforcing and reducing.The treatment was once a day,30 minutes each time,5 times a week as a course of treatment,and each course of treatment was separated by 2 days,a total of 2 courses of treatment.The Tinnitus Evaluation Questionnaire(TEQ),Tinnitus Handicap Inventory(THI)and Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)were used to evaluate the efficacy of the two groups before and after treatment.The statistical analysis of this study was completed by SPSS24.0 statistical software.Results1.General data analysis: The two groups of patients in gender,age and course of disease were compared by Pearson X2,two independent samples t-test,and Mann Whitney U test,the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05),indicating that the two groups of baseline is comparable.2.The scale analysis of the two groups before treatment: The TEQ score,THI score and SDS score of the two groups before treatment were compared by two independent sample t test and Mann Whitney U test,respectively,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05),which was comparable.3.Comparison of the difference score of each scale between the two groups after treatment:(1)The difference score of TEQ between the two groups before and after treatment within group comparison,using Wilcoxon Matched-Pairs Signed-Ranks test,all of which were statistically significant(P<0.05);between groups comparison,using Mann Whitney U test,the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).(2)Two independent samples t-test was used to compare the THI scores of the two groups before and after treatment.The THI scores of the two groups decreased before and after treatment,and the decrease degree of the treatment group was slightly higher than that of the control group,but it was not statistically significant(P>0.05).(3)Mann Whitney U test was used to compare the difference scores of SDS,the two groups before and after treatment.The difference scores of the two groups before and after treatment decreased,but the degree of decline was not statistically significant(P>0.05).4.Comparison of curative effect between the two groups after treatment:In the treatment group,7 cases were cured,10 cases were markedly effective,10 cases were effective,and 3 cases were ineffective.The total effective rate was 90.00%.In the control group,5 cases were cured,5 cases were markedly effective,15 cases were effective,and 5cases were ineffective.The total effective rate was 83.33%.There was no significant difference between the two groups by Mann Whitney U test(P>0.05).Conclusion1.Dong’s extra acupoints and conventional acupuncture have good curative effect on tinnitus,and the difference of curative effect in the group is statistically significant(P<0.05).2.Both Dong’s extra acupoints and conventional acupuncture could improve the tinnitus severity,tinnitus disability and Depression Rating Scale score of tinnitus patients,but there was no significant difference between the two treatments(P>0.05).
