| Objective:The purpose of this study is to understand the current status of scientific research capabilities,self-efficacy,and professional embedding of nurses with a master’s degree in grade A tertiary hospitals in Henan Province,and analyze their scientific research capabilities,the correlation between self-efficacy and professional embedding,and the intermediary of self-efficacy It can provide suggestions and references for hospitals and related departments to improve the professional embedding degree of nurses with a master’s degree and to enhance their scientific research capabilities.Methods:This study adopts the method of cross-sectional survey to henan provincial top general hospital(4)and provincial 3 armour hospital(4)conforms to the standard of professional master degree of the nurse as the research object,using the method of cluster sampling,extract half department,every hospital departments all respondents in the survey.The subjects were investigated by general information questionnaire,research ability Self-rating Scale,General self-efficacy Scale(GSES)and occupation embedding scale.EpiData3.1 software was used to establish the database,and SPSS25.0 software was used for statistical analysis of the data.Measurement data were described as "mean ± standard deviation".Demographic data of patients were described by frequency and constituent ratio.Comparison between groups was performed by T test and analysis of variance.Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation.The mediating effect test program proposed by Hayes was used to test the mediating effect of self-efficacy,and the test level was α=0.05.Results:1.The overall score of scientific research ability is good(82.14±19.68).7 people in the low-level group(1.8%),159 people in the middle-level group(40.0%),and 231 people in the high-level group(58.2%).The average score of each dimension item is ranked from high to low in order of paper writing ability(2.95 ± 0.78),literature review ability(2.95 ± 0.78),scientific research practice ability(2.83±0.70),scientific research design ability(2.69 ± 0.79)Points,data processing ability(2.62 ±0.77)points,problem discovery ability(2.40±0.73)points.2.The self-efficacy score of clinical nurses was(28.72±4.54)points,which was generally good.3.The overall score of professional embedding for master’s degree nurses is good(64.61 ± 11.81),all at a high level.Matching(professional identity)scores(25.36±4.89),connection(peer connection)scores(21.85 ± 4.01),sacrifice(professional value)scores(17.39±3.63).Among all dimensions of occupational embeddedness,connection(3.64 ± 0.67)is the strongest,higher than matching(3.62±0.70)and sacrifice(2.17±0.45).4.There are statistically significant differences in the scores of scientific research ability in different working years,the length of schooling of the highest degree,carrying out scientific research after entering the clinic,participating in or hosting projects,publishing papers,attending conferences and other scientific research outputs(P<0.05).5.The scores of professional embedding are statistically different in different ages,marital status,technical title,administrative position,undertaking teaching tasks,carrying out scientific research,participating in or hosting projects,publishing papers,attending meetings and other scientific research outputs(P<0.05).6.The score of self-efficacy of nurses with master’s degree was positivelycorrelated with the total score of scientific research ability and the scores of all dimensions(correlation coefficient r=0.472,P<0.001).7.The results of correlation analysis between professional self-efficacy and occupational embeddedness of nurses with master’s degree showed that the scores of matching(professional identity),connecting(peer connection)and sacrifice(professional value)were positively correlated with the scores of self-efficacy(P<0.001).8.The results of the analysis of the correlation between the scientific research ability and occupational embedding of nurses with a master’s degree showed that the matching(professional identity),connection(peer connection),and sacrifice(professional value)scores were positively correlated with the total score of scientific research ability and each dimension(P<0.001).9.The mediating effect analysis results show that scientific research ability has a significant predictive effect on occupational embedding(B=0.029,P<0.001).After adding the intermediary variables,the positive predictive effect of scientific research ability on occupational embedding is still significant(B=0.031,P<0.001).The positive predictive effect of scientific research ability on self-efficacy was significant(B=0.010,P<0.001),and the positive predictive effect of self-efficacy on occupational embeddedness was also significant(B=0.133,P<0.001).In addition,the upper and lower limits of the Bootstrap 95%confidence interval of the direct effect and the mediating effect do not contain 0,indicating that scientific research ability can not only directly predict occupational embeddedness,but also predict occupational embeddedness through the mediating effect of self-efficacy.The direct effect(0.096)and The mediation effect(0.110)accounted for 46.59%and 53.51%of the total effect(0.205)respectively.Conclusion:1.The overall level of scientific research ability of nurses with master’s degree is high,and there are great differences in working years,school system types and scientific research.The scientific research ability of nurses with long working years and part-time master’s degree needs to be further improved.2.The professional embeddedness of nurses with master’s degree is at a high level.Age,marital status,technical title,administrative position,undertaking teaching tasks and carrying out scientific research are the main influencing factors of professional embeddedness.3.The self-efficacy of nurses with master’s degree is at a high level,and the self-efficacy of postgraduates with master’s degree can positively predict the scientific research ability and career embeddedness.4.The occupational connection of nurses with a master’s degree is the strongest among all dimensions,higher than matching,higher than sacrifice,and has a significant positive correlation with scientific research ability.5.Self efficacy plays a partial mediating role between scientific research ability and career embeddedness. |
