PurposeIn this study,a clinical randomized controlled trial was conducted to observe the clinical efficacy of filiform fire needling combined with collateral piercing and cupping in the treatment of chronic eczema, and compared with conventional western medicine treatment to provide patients with a set of effective, safe, green and more acceptable external Chinese medicine treatment for patients Law.At the same time,it provides more powerful clinical evidence for the treatment of this disease by external therapy of traditional Chinese medicine.MethodsIn this study,a total of 50 patients with chronic eczema who were treated by Guoyitang affiliated to Hubei University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from October 2019 to September2021 were selected. The patients were randomly divided into two groups(the treatment group and the control group),and they were treated with acupuncture combined with pricking and cupping and conventional western medicine treatment, respectively. The entire course of treatment lasted for 4 weeks. The EASI score, pruritus VAS score and DLQI score of the two groups of patients were recorded before and after treatment, and the collected data were statistically analyzed using spss22.0.Results1.Comparison of basic data: Before treatment, there was no significant difference in gender, age, course of disease, and severity of skin lesions between the two groups(P>0.05),so the baseline comparison between the two groups before treatment was not statistically significant.Grouping is reasonable.2.After the treatment, the results are analyzed as follows:(1)Comparison of the total effective rate: 25 patients in the treatment group completed the treatment, the effective rate was 96%,the markedly effective rate was 72%,and the ineffective rate was 4%;25 patients in the control group completed the treatment, the effective rate was 88%,and the markedly effective rate was 4%.40%,and the ineffective rate was 12%.The difference in effective rate between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)Comparison of skin lesion scores: the EASI score in the treatment group was 13.83±5.35 before treatment and 5.84±2.21 after treatment;the EASI score in the control group was13.75±4.70 before treatment and 7.67±2.20 after treatment. The comparison before and after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05),suggesting that the two groups of treatment can improve the skin lesions. There was statistical significance in the comparison of the EASI score and the difference before and after treatment between the two groups(P<0.05),suggesting that fire acupuncture combined with collateral pricking and cupping therapy has a better effect in improving skin lesions.(3)Comparison of itching scores: the VAS score of the treatment group was 7.03±0.73 before treatment and 2.74±0.38 after treatment;the VAS score of the control group was 6.95±0.47 before treatment and 3.68±0.51 after treatment;the scores of both groups were decreased compared with before.,before and after treatment, the comparison was statistically significant(P<0.05),suggesting that the two groups of treatment can alleviate the itching symptoms. There were statistically significant differences in the VAS scores and the difference before and after treatment between the two groups(P<0.05),suggesting that fire acupuncture combined with collateral pricking and cupping therapy has a better effect in alleviating itching symptoms.(4)Comparison of quality of life: the DLQI score in the treatment group was 15.37±2.51 before treatment and 6.27±1.08 after treatment;the DLQI score in the control group was15.83±2.09 before treatment and 9.57±1.56 after treatment;the scores in both groups were lower than before.,the comparison before and after treatment was statistically significant(P<0.05),suggesting that both groups of treatment can effectively improve the quality of life of patients. There was statistical significance in the comparison of DLQI scores and the difference before and after treatment between the two groups(P<0.05),suggesting that fire acupuncture combined with collateral pricking and cupping therapy has a better effect on improving the quality of life of patients.(5)Comparison of recurrence in patients with obvious improvement: Follow-up was conducted 4 weeks after the end of treatment,2 of 18 patients in the treatment group relapsed, and 5 of 10 in the control group relapsed. After testing, there was no significant difference in recurrence rate between the two groups.in conclusionMilliform fire needle combined with collateral-pricking cupping therapy and topical compound flumetasone cream can improve skin lesions, relieve itching and improve quality of life in patients with chronic eczema. The clinical effect of filiform fire needling combined with collateral piercing cupping is better, and the treatment of filiform fire needling combined with collateral piercing cupping has no drug side effects, which is worthy of clinical application.
