Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture at Sifeng acupoint combined with Megestrol Acetate in the treatment of Cancer-related Anorexia in patients with stage IV malignant tumor, and to evaluate its efficacy and safety in improving cancer anorexia. Methods: Sixty patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with megestrol acetate dispersible tablets, and the observation group was treated with acupuncture at Sifeng points on the basis of the control group for a total of 2 weeks. The changes in appetite NRS score, weight,BMI,KPS score, hemoglobin, serum albumin, prealbumin, and TCM symptom scores of the two groups of patients before and after treatment were recorded.SPSS 26.0 statistical software was used to analyze the above-obtained data.Result: 1.Baseline analysis: There was no significant difference in sex, age, disease type, appetite NRS score, weight,BMI,KPS score,TCM symptom score,ALB,hemoglobin, prealbumin between the two groups(P> 0.05),comparable.2.Efficacy Analysis:(1)main outcome measures: After treatment, appetite NRS of both groups decreased and appetite improved(p < 0.05).The total effective rate was 63.3% in the observation group and 50% in the control group(p <0.05).(2)Secondary Efficacy Index: In the pre-albumin index, the two groups were improved after treatment(p < 0.05),the efficacy was similar. In the improvement of TCM symptom scores, both groups were decreased and improved(p < 0.05).In the Control Group, the symptoms of Anorexia were improved(p < 0.05),and the symptoms of constipation were worse(p < 0.05).In the observation group, the symptoms of Anorexia, listlessness, nausea and vomiting, tasteless mouth, fullness of abdomen, less gas lazy speech, belching acid and so on were improved(p < 0.05).There was no significant difference in body weight,BMI,KPS score,Alb and hemoglobin between the two groups(P > 0.05).3.Safety evaluation: After treatment, there were no obvious abnormalities in the blood routine, liver function, renal function, coagulation function, electrocardiogram, etc.of the two groups of patients. The control group had no adverse reactions with acupuncture, and the overall safety was fair. Conclusion: Compared with the treatment of only taking megestrol acetate dispersible tablets, the addition of acupuncture at Sifeng acupoint can effectively improve the appetite of patients with cancer-related anorexia and alleviate related clinical symptoms.Acupuncture at Sifeng points combined with megestrol acetate dispersible tablets has better effect than simple megestrol acetate dispersible tablets, and there is no obvious adverse reaction, which has certain clinical value.
