| ObjectiveBy collecting and analyzing the date of birth and related clinical data from patients who have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes newly with the theory of five evolutive phases and six climatic factors,to reveals the relationship between the factors and islet beta cell function and insulin resistance,in order to provide a new angel for clinical research on the TCM pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes,at the same time,provide theoretical guidance of the theory of five evolutive phases and six climatic factors for TCM treatment on type 2diabetes.MethodsUsing cross-sectional survey research methods,this study collected a total of 351hospitalized patients with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes cases from January 2020 to January 2021 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine.Collect every patient’s general information,including name,gender,age,accurate date of birth,height,weight,and hospitalization related laboratory examination indexes,including fasting glucose,fasting insulin,glycated hemoglobin,triglycerides.Then,we can get the information of the five evolutive phases and six climatic factors form every patient,including the year evolutive phase,celestial manager qi,qi in the earth,host evolutive phase,guest evolutive phase and the result of guest climatic qi adding to fixed host qi.According to the formula,body mass index,isletβ-cell function index and insulin resistance index of each patient were calculated.SPSS24.0 software was used to process the data,and the relationship between the five evolutive phases and six climatic factors and the isletβ-cell function and insulin resistance of newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes patients was analyzed.Results1.The average BMI of newly diagnosed T2DM patients was(24.10±2.92)kg/m~2,among which 177 patients had BMI≥24 kg/m~2,accounting for 50.4%of the total,suggesting that more than half of the patients were overweight or obese.2.Classification of celestial manager qi and qi in the earth:there was no significant difference in TG among all groups(P>0.05),but there were significant differences in FINS,HOMA-βand HOMA-IR among all groups(P<0.05),suggesting differences in isletβ-cell function and insulin resistance among all groups.The FINS of the Taiyin wet soil-Tauyang cold water group was the lowest,and there was statistical significance between the Taiyin wet soil-Tauyang group and the Shaoyang ministerial fire-Jueyin wind-wood,Jueyin wind-wood-Shaoyang ministerial fire and Shaoyin monarch fire-Yangming dry metal groups(P<0.05),but there was no statistical significance between the other groups(P>0.05).The HOMA-βindex of the Taiyin wet soil-Tauyang cold water group was the lowest,and there was statistical significance compared with the other 5 groups(P<0.05),while there was no statistical significance among the other groups(P>0.05).The HOMA-IR index of the Shaoyin monarch fire-Yangming dry metal group was the highest,and the difference between the Shaoyin monarch fire-Yangming dry metal group and the Taiyin wet soil-Tauyang and Tauyang cold water-Taiyin wet soil groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),while the difference between the other groups was not statistically significant(P>0.05).3.Classification of the year evolutive phase,host evolutive phase,guest evolutive phase and the result of guest climatic qi adding to fixed host qi:TG,FINS,HOMA index beta,HOMA IR although have certain difference,but after the test there were no statistical significance(P>0.05),suggesting that it is not considered that these factors have any effect on isletβ-cell function and insulin resistance in newly diagnosed T2DM patients.ConclusionThrough the analysis of newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes patients with date of birth of the five evolutive phases and six climatic factors and related clinical data,the factor of celestial manager qi and qi in the earth affects islet beta cell function and insulin resistance in newly diagnosed T2DM patients.The isletβ-cell secretion function was the worst in the Taiyin wet soil-Tauyang cold water group,and insulin resistance was more obvious in the Shaoyin monarch fire-Yangming dry metal group.the factors of the year evolutive phase,host evolutive phase,guest evolutive phase and the result of guest climatic qi adding to fixed host qi were not associated with islet beta cell and insulin resistance in newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic patients. |
