The Jade Of Haihun Marquis Tomb From Nanchang City,Jiangxi Province

From the perspective of material,kinds,decoration,crafts,weathering of jade and on the basis of systematical interpretation as well as archival records of more than 400 types of unearthed jade from Haihun Marquis Tomb,this paper detailedly introduces the unearthed position and the types of these jade pieces.The whole jade can be divided into etiquette jade,funeral jade,decorative jade and daily-life jade in terms of the functional analysis of the location of jade unearthed,the degree of elaborative processing,the relationship with other unearthed jade and so on.The conclusion that the numbers of etiquette and daily-life jade are small while those of funeral and decorative jade are large can be arrived at.Meanwhile,in a linear comparison with the Western Han Dynasty leud tombs,Haihun Marquis was put into the coffin according to the marquis system,not arrogating the eqtiquette.And the jade of Haihun Marquis Tomb not only reflects the strict hierarchical division of society,but also reflects the characteristics of the times of advocating jade and force.
