Lacquerware is a kind of daily utensils,handicrafts and fine arts made of raw lacquer on the surface of objects.It has been widely used in people ’s production and life since the pre-Qin period.Lacquerware was produced in Neolithic China.From the current unearthed situation,the Han Dynasty lacquerware has reached an unprecedented level in terms of category,decoration,modeling,production process and cultural connotation,and has become the peak stage in the history of lacquerware culture development.Although the production of lacquerware in the Han Dynasty was focused on Sichuan,Hunan and Jiangsu,Jiangxi also had the basis and conditions for making lacquerware.Before the excavation of Haihunhou tomb,no large Han Dynasty tombs and so many lacquer wares were found in Jiangxi.Since 2015,with the gradual excavation and publication of the lacquerware in the tomb,the related research has gradually enriched and become a new research hotspot in the academic circle.This paper focuses on the analysis of lacquer wares unearthed from the tomb of Haihun Marquis of the Western Han Dynasty in Nanchang.Firstly,this paper systematically combs the general situation of the tomb of Haihunhou and the lacquer wares unearthed in the tomb,classifies the lacquer wares according to their functional characteristics,and analyzes them one by one in combination with the special background of the Han Dynasty,so as to more clearly show the important role played by the lacquer wares in the social life of the Han Dynasty.Secondly,it focuses on the plastic arts,pattern decoration and painting techniques of the lacquerware unearthed from the tomb of Haihunhou,and points out that the technical characteristics of the lacquerware unearthed from the tomb of Haihunhou have been further improved on the basis of the previous generation,especially with the unique use habits and the spirit of the times of the Han Dynasty,so that the lacquerware technology presents a new look different from the past.Thirdly,by comparing the relevant historical documents and archaeological data,this paper analyzes several lacquer wares with distinct characteristics of origin in the tomb of Haihunhou,such as the ’ Confucius mirror ’ and ’ Li ’ ear cup,which are of great concern.Through the study of typical artifacts,it is intended to reveal the characteristics of the diversification of the origin of lacquer wares unearthed from the tomb of Haihunhou and the economic,trade and cultural ties of various regions under the unified pattern of the Han Dynasty.Finally,based on the development of lacquer culture in the Han Dynasty and the business activities of the Han Dynasty in Jiangxi,this paper explores the cultural connotation of lacquer wares unearthed from the tomb of Haihunhou from a broader perspective.
