As China’s important origin of literature,Shaanxi is the home of many leading writers and critics in the history of literature.However,as another important aspect of the literary activities,literary criticism,compared with the writes and the works,received less attention.The research of the Shaanxi literary criticism can provide the corresponding reference for the development of literature activities,and at the same time,it could also offers an overall picture for the development of Shaanxi literature from a macro point of view.Shaanxi literary criticism follows the tradition of realism criticism,and is influenced by Marx’s critical discourse in Yan’an period,which makes the "people" in Shaanxi literary criticism particularly prominent.The concept of “people” could find its earliest source in the Russian literature.In the 1820 s,this concept came into being in Russian literature,and then further interpreted by Bellinsky,Du Pabo Yubov,Pushkin and etc.Together with the interpretation of the “people” in art by Lenin and Mao Zedong,the connotation and extension of the people changed.Since the concept of the people was introduced to China,it has brought profound influence in the history of China’s contemporary literature,and until now,the concept is continually depend and injected into new content.From the perspective of the "people" factor in the field of literary criticism in Shaanxi,this paper studies the inheritance and development of the concept of "people" in Chinese literature.This thesis is divided into three parts besides the introduction and conclusion.The introduction is consist of the following parts: introduction of the concept of the“people” in art and the research status and background of literary criticism of Shaanxi;the deep relationship between critics of Shaanxi and people in art;explanation of the necessity to pay attention to the people in literature and art again and interpretation of the focus of papers and the problems needed to be solved.The first part is the origin of the theory of literature and art.Firstly,the paper explores the theory connotation of people’s concepts from the two ancient dimensions of Russian and China;secondly,the paper discusses the inheritance and development of concept of the people on the aspect of the absorption and integration of Chinese modern and contemporary literature.The second part is about the intergenerational transmission of the literary and the people in literature and art in Shaanxi.It is interpreted from three aspects.Firstly,the vertical inheritance between four generations of critics;secondly,the diversified transverse comparison of all critics in different aspects in the same criticism category,such as occupation,region and gender;finally,the cherishment of the Shaanxi’s literary critics of the people in literature and art.The third part analyses the breakthroughs after the reflection of the Shaanxi critics in line with the current status of the review.This part is divided into three sections: firstly,the exploration of the research and discussion of the people in literature and art in the contemporary literary criticism field;secondly,the analysis of the differences and difficulties encountered in the exploration among the Shaanxi critics;finally,the discussion of the reconstruction and reconstruction of people in the current literary criticism field.The conclusion briefly discusses the practical significance of the people to the development of contemporary literature.
