A Study On Rural Population Migration In Ningxia In The 1930s

The relocation of Antu has been an inherent habit of Chinese peasants since ancient times.Peasants have different feelings about land.Peasants are reluctant to leave the land until they have no choice.In the 1930s,Ningxia had just been in the province for three years.After undergoing a series of major social changes,frequent rural population movements in Ningxia became a prominent social phenomenon in Ningxia during this period.This article takes the population migration as the research object,and takes the weak academic research area of Ningxia as the research area,from the perspective of social history to discuss the 1930s rural population migration in Ningxia.Since the 1930s,under the influence of political instability,natural disasters,economic decline,government recruitment policies and other factors,the speed of rural population movement in Ningxia has continued to increase,and the structure of rural population movement in Ningxia has also undergone some changes compared to before.For example,compared with the increase in the proportion of old people and children before the 1930s,the number of occupations increased during this period,and women gradually began to move toward society,no longer confining themselves to families,and the floating population was mostly in the landlord class.At the same time,because the rural population movement in Ningxia is different from the rest of the country,the characteristics presented are also different.From the perspective of the impact of Ningxia’s rural population migration on Ningxia’s social and economic development in the 1930s,Ningxia’s rural population movement has formed a reasonable social mechanism in Ningxia,which is helpful to the coordinated development of Ningxia’s society and promotes the thinking of farmers in Ningxia’s rural areas.Transformation,and to a certain extent contribute to the development of rural and urban society and the modernization of urban population.However,the outflow of a large number of farmers caused the lack of rural labor force in Ningxia and breeds many social problems.Excessive and unreasonable reclamation of inflow farmers has caused serious damage to the ecological environment in Ningxia,and the actual implementation of the reclamation policy implemented by the Ningxia provincial government is not satisfactory The wasteland in some reclamation areas in Ningxia has not been effectively developed and a large number of farmers have fled the villages in Ningxia due to the squeezing by the garrison.Finally,by summing up the enlightenment and lessons learned from the rural population movement in Ningxia in the 1930s,it can provide some historical experience for the rural population movement in this area.
