Study On Visual Element Extraction And Design Regeneration Of Manchu Traditional Patterns In Northeast China

Manchu traditional dermatoglyphic pattern is an important part of Chinese elements.However,there has been a lack of innovative designs of Manchu traditional pattern.Simple application on the extraction of the pattern could not satisfy the aesthetic demand of modern people or more effectively promote the spread and development of traditional culture.The focus of this discussion: how to integrate the Manchu traditional pattern in northeast China with modern aesthetics,analyze from the perspective of design and innovation,then extract,transform and design the Manchu traditional pattern,make it better presented with a new look and return to our life,and carry forward as well as inherit the culture behind it.This paper analyzes the typical features of Manchu traditional pattern,the classification of carriers,the implication of pattern,and the advantages of color.Through sorting out the features of the pattern and extracting the typical core images of it as the initial basic form,the aim is to extract and transform the traditional characteristic pattern of Manchu in northeast China,with the theoretical method of "shape grammar",and then form a new design of pattern based on the principle of translation design.The multi-shape transformation and redesign of recombined dermatoglyphic pattern not only retain the features of the Manchu traditional pattern in northeast China,but also enjoy creativity,providing innovative design ideas for the traditional pattern in our life.Through the extraction and redesign of visual elements of Manchu traditional pattern,the connotation of local traditional culture is effectively excavated.The pattern is translated as well as innovated by the use of "shape grammar" and deeps formed a new series of patterns.Into people’s life,with the aid of daily articles,decorations,devices as carriers.This can further inherit and carry forward Manchu traditional culture,and provide valuable reference to a richer visual communication language in modern times and economic construction.
