| Under the background of globalization,educational globalization also follows the trend.As education is the foundation of a country,the improvement of the education system and the strength of teachers in universities are of great significance to the cultivation of talents and the development of the country.Nanning,a permanent host city of China-ASEAN Exposition,and a bridge city between China and ASEAN countries,has attracted not only a mass of students from other countries to study in Guangxi University,but also outstanding teachers and researchers from all over the world to serve in the China-ASEAN Research Institute。Entrusted by the China-ASEAN Research Institute of Guangxi University,the author selects the second and the sixth chapters of the Compilation of Rules and Regulations of China-ASEAN Research Institute as the translation materials of this thesis,whose main contents involve the management methods of personnel recruitment and appointment as well as academic ethics of thefaculty.Under the guidance of Reiss’ s text type theory,this report elaborates the translation practice in five chapters,namely "Text Description","Features of the Original Materials","Translation Process Description","Case Study" and "Translation Summary".The first chapter mainly introduces the source of translation materials and the significance of the translation project.The second chapter summarizes the characteristics and difficulties of the source text,such as the use of academic proper nouns,Chinese idioms,the simultaneous use of words with similar meaning,and the phenomenon of no subject sentence and long difficult sentence.The third chapter introduces the preparation,schedule and the proofreading process of the translation.The fourth chapter analyzes some cases in accordance with the characteristics and difficulties in the second chapter.The fifth chapter summarizes some translation skills and strategies applicable to the management method of university faculties,which will guide the translator’s translation practice in the future,... |
