At present,information technology and big data in the education system has been used more and more frequently."Cloud classroom" and "live classroom",for instance,are no longer unfamiliar to teachers and students.The iteration of teaching technology and the transformation of teaching and learning methods are urging teachers to continuously update and improve their professional qualities.Facing education modernization,teachers need the ability to promote the deep integration of information technology and subject knowledge teaching.English teachers also need to have this ability.For normal students,the information teaching ability is related to their future professional growth of teachers.However,the current information teaching ability of normal students is deficient.English normal students in local normal universities are the backup main force of front-line teachers in various provinces and cities.Their information teaching ability reserves will directly affect the quality of Education in the field of basic education and the overall situation of the teaching staff Therefore,it is particularly important to study the information-based teaching ability of English normal students in local normal universities.Based on this,this article will investigate the information teaching ability level of English teachers in local normal colleges and universities under the framework of information-based teaching ability of normal students and TPACK.On the basis of the existing research,this paper compiles the questionnaire and interview outline of the information-based teaching ability of English normal students by referring to the information technology application ability standard of primary and secondary school teachers,the information technology application ability evaluation tool of normal students and the TPACK framework.From ten observation points,suchas consciousness and attitude,resource preparation,teaching design,teaching implementation,teaching evaluation,teaching analysis,promoting students’ learning,technical environment,curriculum setting and teachers’ allocation,this paper investigates the current situation of information-based teaching ability of English normal students in three local normal universities in Shaanxi Province,and puts forward corresponding training strategies based on the existing problems.The results show that: First,the general ability level of information-based teaching of English normal students in local normal universities is not good,but they have good consciousness and attitude,that they can realize the importance of information-based teaching;secondly,the ability of information-based teaching of English normal students in local normal universities needs to be strengthened,especially their ability of teaching implementation,teaching evaluation and teaching analysis;thirdly,in the process of cultivating the information-based teaching ability of English normal students,teachers’ allocation has a great influence on students’ ability level,and students’ ability level increases with the improvement of teachers’ level.Based on the research results,local normal universities should realize that the current level of students’ information-based teaching ability is not optimistic in the process of cultivating their information-based teaching ability.It is necessary to strengthen the construction of English classroom technology environment,improve the setting of subject courses and information technology courses,strengthen the assessment and training of subject teachers’ information-based teaching ability,pay attention to the improvement of their information-based teaching ability,and arouse English normal students’ awareness of updating knowledge and lifelong learning,which help them keep learning in the fast changing information society.Local normal universities should take part in the whole process of the whole staff to promote the information-based teaching ability of English normal students,so as to promote the training quality of normal students.
