| Children’s picture books use the visual design of story,information,meaning and atmosphere conveyed by graphic language to realize the information communication between picture book creators and readers.The essence of picture books is the materialized visual expression and the material embodiment of the creator’s ideology and spirit.Its first essence is the story telling,information transmission,the purpose is to express the soul,enlighten the soul,beautify the soul;it gives the creative nature of the field of human thought in childhood.The reason why excellent picture books can be loved by young readers is not only that readers can resonate with their creators’ ideas and arouse their reverie.It also lies in the unique world depicted by the creators of picture books through visual language,from which young readers can accurately feel the essence and emotion of the story.Domestic studies on picture books are discussed from the perspective of art design,such as book binding design,graphic board design,text design,etc.There are discussions from the perspective of preschool education,focusing on the educational significance of picture books and their use as classroom teaching materials.There are also studies on the content and plot arrangement of picture books discussed from the perspective of literature.However,the creation of picture books is not a simple and superficial picture expression.The social environment,cultural background,values,as well as the author’s ideological realm,cultural concepts and painting skills have a great impact on the vision of picture books.Based on the fairy tale little red riding hood and the picture books related to its evolution,the author starts from the vision of children’s picture books to observe the impact of printing technology,social environment and culture on the visual expression of children’s picture books in different historical periods.Then,from the perspective of the text,this paper analysis the presentation mode of the same story plot selected by different picture book creators,which involves technical techniques,personal concepts and geographical environment.Its purpose is not a comprehensive overview of the introduction,but a repeated review of the vision of picture books from different levels and perspectives,thinking about the relationship and influence between the visual expression of picture books,social history,culture,authors and readers.Hope to be of some help to the creation of original children’s picture books in China. |
