With the reform of quality education,the quality of basic educ ation in our country is constantly improving.However,behind the c ontinuous improvement of education quality and academic achievem ent,there are still "test-taking dilemmas" such as excessive workloa d and difficulty of primary school students.In this regard,the gove rnment,scholars,and teachers all try to alleviate this problem by o ptimizing the design of homework.With the continuous deepening of reform and research,people began to realize that homework is n ot just a question of teaching or curriculum,it is also a complex p roblem of education management.This study takes the fifth and sixth grade students of Shenzhen A Primary School and the corresponding subject English teachers a nd school teaching managers as the research objects.Through the li terature analysis,questionnaire survey,interview method and observa tion method,it proposes the basics of the homework design of Eng lish in the upper grades of the elementary school.Principles: Analy ze the learning effect of homework design for elementary school se nior students from the five dimensions of homework volume,diffic ulty,level,practicality,and fun,and analyze elementary school seni or English from interviews with students,teachers,and school admi nistrators The teaching effect of homework design,and based on th e survey results,Combined with relevant educational theories and th e authors’ observation and learning experience in educational practi ce,discussing and analyzing the causes of problems in the design o f high grade English homework in elementary school;Finally,comb ine new English courses Standards,characteristics of physical and mental development of upper grade students in elementary school o n how to strengthen the scientific effectiveness of English homework,trying to make some targeted suggestions from the school,teacher s and parents,hoping to arouse school,teachers and parents on ho mework problems Attention and prompting English-speaking family environment can play a greater role in English learning.By improvi ng the quality of homework,it can alleviate the burden of students’ work and thus reduce burden and increase efficiency.
