Youyangzazu is a notebook novel written by Duan chengshi in the Tang dynasty. This paper studies the attributive structure of Youyangzazu from the perspective of linguistics, hoping to provide some materials and references for the study of Chinese grammar history while fully reflecting the general structure of Youyangzazu.Firstly,we start from the components of attributive structure. The attributive of the structure in Youyangzazu is mainly composed of noun, pronoun, adjective, quantifier, verb, phrase, etc. The proportion of noun attributive is the largest. The central word is mainly composed of nouns, adjectives, quantifiers, verbs and phrases, the proportion of nouns is the highest.Noun, verb and phrase are used as attributives, and the proportion of adding "zhi" is slightly higher than that of other parts of speech.Adding "zhi" to noun and adjective as attributives is closely related to the tightness of the combination of supplementary syllables, highlighting attributives or attributives or attributives. When attributive and central word are predicates or phrases,"zhi" is added mostly to make the attributive and central language clearer and prevent the occurrence of structural differences.Secondly,by referring to the previous research results,we sorted out 25 semantic relation types and 16 semantic functions in the book, which is relatively less than that in modern Chinese, which is related to the limited corpus of the book. This paper summarizes and analyzes the ambiguities of definite attributive structure in Youyangzazu, which are mainly reflected in semantic and syntactic ambiguities.Such ambiguities arise only when the language is static, and often disappear when the ambiguous definite attributive structure is in the corresponding context.Thirdly,we classified the polynomial complex attributive structure in Youyangzazu according to the progressive form, the “dunjia” form and the column plus form, and sorted a number of attributives of the progressive definite complex structure, and obtained two rules: the pronoun > noun> quantifier > verb > adjective > noun. Also from the Angle of information theory and according to the principle of semantic proximity, this paper makes a simple analysis on the ordering of some multinomial attributives. This paper explains the juxtaposition of attributive and central word in the structure of the columned definite complex language from two aspects: the simplification of language and the similarity of language. Finally,in order to understand the characteristics and evolution rules of attributive structure in the middle ages,we selected mencius of the preQin period and made a diachronic comparison between the components of attributive structure and Youyangzazu. From the ancient period to the middle period, the proportion of each component has changed. The number of attributive pronouns in Youyangzazu increases obviously, which is mainly reflected in modest and respectful words. The number of predicates as the central word decreased obviously, which reflected that the stylistic feature of definite middle structure became more and more obvious.
