| In recent years, the state has gradually increased its efforts to reform the teaching of business Japanese in secondary schools, gradually shifting towards an employment-oriented and competency-based approach and placing greater emphasis on the development of students’ skills.Listening is one of the five important skills in the Japanese language: listening, reading, writing and translating, but it is a skill that is relatively weak and difficult for secondary school students to improve quickly. It is worth considering and studying the current situation of the listening course for business Japanese majors, what problems exist in the teaching of the listening course, and how to solve these problems and adapt to the direction of teaching reform. In order to conduct a comprehensive and in-depth investigation into the current situation of the teaching of the listening course for business Japanese majors in secondary schools, this study was conducted from six dimensions: teaching attitude, teaching objectives, teaching content, teaching methods and means, teaching effectiveness, and teaching evaluation.Classroom observation, questionnaires and interviews were used to conduct the survey.93 students majoring in Business Japanese and four teachers teaching listening courses in L school in W city,S province were selected as the respondents. The quantitative and qualitative analysis of the survey data led to the following findings: the teaching attitude of teachers at L Secondary School in W,S Province is positive and active;the teaching objectives are comprehensive and clear;and the teaching methods are rich and varied. At the same time, there are certain problems, such as teaching content focusing on coping with the Japanese Language Proficiency Test;teaching methods mainly based on the lecture method;teaching effectiveness is generally poor;and teaching evaluation is mainly based on summative evaluation.Based on the analysis of the results of the survey,an analysis of the causes of the problems in the teaching situation was carried out,and it was concluded that the causes of the problems were: the listening materials were mainly test questions, and there was a lack of practical content of business Japanese;secondary school students lacked the ability to learn on their own,and teachers lacked awareness of the reform of teaching methods;secondary school students had low interest and insufficient listening practice, and the teaching effect was not good;the emphasis was on achievement rather than ability, and teachers lacked awareness of multiple evaluation. Finally, based on the results of the above analysis and the problems identified in the teaching of the secondary business Japanese listening course, this study proposes targeted teaching suggestions. For example, the teaching content should be enriched by combining listening materials from inside and outside the classroom;flexible teaching methods should be used to diversify the forms of listening teaching;activities that emphasise both listening knowledge and skills should be designed to enhance teaching effectiveness;and multiple assessments should be used to optimise listening teaching. It is hoped that this study will help to improve the teaching of business Japanese listening courses in secondary schools and provide some theoretical and data support for the reform of listening teaching in business Japanese. |
