A Study Of Group Work Intervention On Psychological Stress Of The Parents Of Autistic Children

In recent years,the number of people with autism continues to increase.In the case of long-term care for autistic children,the parents of autistic children have great psychological pressure.However,at present,the research on autistic children at home and abroad is mainly focused on autistic children,and there is less attention and Research on the parents of autistic children.This paper studies the psychological pressure of the parents of autistic children and the effect of group work intervention in Lanzhou x children’s psychological development center.Through questionnaire survey and interview,this paper studies the psychological stress level of the parents of autistic children and its causes.The psychological stress of the parents of autistic children is at a high level by using the PSTR psychological stress scale.The psychological stress mainly includes inferiority complex,closed psychology,lack of social skills and excessive negative emotional experience.Through interviews,we find that the main reasons for the high level of psychological pressure of the parents of autistic children include: the personal level: the burden of caring for autistic children is heavy and the cost of treatment is high;the family level: the family conflicts are prominent;the social level: social discrimination and social support are insufficient;the system level: lack of legislative security,the social security system is not perfect.It is necessary and feasible for social work to intervene the psychological pressure of the parents of autistic children.In this study,five group activities were carried out to help parents of autistic children relieve their psychological pressure.Through the comparison of pre-test and post-test,the effect of group activities was evaluated.It was found that the intervention of social work in the psychological stress of autistic children’s parents had a positive effect,the average psychological pressure of group members decreased from 83 points to 63 points,and the psychological pressure of group members changed from high pressure level to moderate pressure level.
