The Dialogue Study Of Li Jieren’s "River Novels"

Li Jieren is a modern classical writer who was rediscovered after the 1980 s.He and his "River Novels" blend the excellent traditions of China and the West,and condense the rich and unique connotations of modernity,nationality and the world.Dialogue is Li Jieren’s artistic skill with great personal style.By focusing on the dialogue of his "River Novels" and launching the observation and analysis from form to content and from micro to macro,we can recognize Li Jieren’s artistic expression and artistic characteristics from point to face.The main research contents include four parts: identifying the basic theoretical issues of dialogue research,observing and analyzing the different types of dialogues in River Novels,summarizing the artistic features of River Novels,and exploring the cultural conflicts in the dialogues.The first part,referring to the context theory of pragmatics and the basic theory of drama,tries to establish the basic unit of dialogue-field,and divides all dialogues into five types of dialogues with different tendencies according to the different attributes of dialogues.In the second part,the performance of the five types of dialogues in River Novels(author-narrator-dominated dialogues,standard dialogues,scene-dominated dialogues,character-dominated dialogues and topic-dominated dialogues)is analyzed and discussed respectively.The third part summarizes the artistic features of Li Jieren’s "River Novels" dialogues on the basis of the analysis of the previous dialogues: the storytelling and dialogue of the stories,the blending of the sense of scene and history of the dialogues,the direct exposition of personal feelings and the expression of group psychology,the voice of the strong and the groan of the weak in the dialogues,and the voice of doubt in the dialogues.The dialogism of story content and the storytelling of dialogue content clarify the blending relationship between dialogue and story in the whole "river novel";the blending of the sense of scene and history of dialogue clarifies the characteristics of "river novel" and "living history" from the perspective of the acceptance of works;the natural expression of individual’s heart and the transmission of group’s voice explain the "river novel".” Different voice standpoints;the voice of the strong and the moan of the weak in the dialogue illustrate the author’s concern for the state of human life;the voice of doubt in the works illustrates the author’s deep thinking of social reality.The fourth part,combined with the specific topics and contents in the dialogue of "River Novels",analyses and expounds the rich cultural conflicts in River Novels,including the conflicts between traditional culture and modern culture,local culture and foreign culture,official culture and folk culture.In the whole process of research,the methods of documentation,drama,narration,reception aesthetics,pragmatics,phenomenology and analytical philosophy are used to study the dialogues of Li Jieren’s "River Novels".The artistic expression and artistic characteristics of Li Jieren’s "River Novels" dialogues are analyzed and clarified from point to point.
