| The He Shaoji family in Daozhou,Hunan Province, was not a first-class family in the middle and late Qing Dynasty, but it was a representative family. On the one hand, the career choices of their family members, whether they are officials or send their love to calligraphy, are no different from those of scholars in previous dynasties; On the other hand, their opportunities and political achievements in serving officials,or being mediocre and conservative, and having a good career,or being outspoken, dismissed from office,or being diligent in official business and benefiting a township, can also be found in history. At the same time, like other cremation families in history, the He Shaoji family not only adhered to the traditional moral qualities such as loyalty, filial piety and righteousness, but also made extraordinary attainments in poetry, painting and calligraphy, and gave birth to many cultural celebrities who influenced at that time and later generations. However, because He Shaoji’s title is too heavy, the brilliance of other members of his family is often concealed by him,and their achievements and influence on He Shaoji are often ignored by people. Therefore, most books of calligraphy history rarely mention other members of the He Shaoji family, even if they do,they are vague, and they only take it as a supplement to the study of He Shaoji.Based on this,on the basis of collecting a large number of historical materials, this paper makes textual research and analysis on the life, official experience and learning course of He family members, hoping to make an objective and reasonable interpretation of the achievements of He Shaoji family members in calligraphy. |
