| For a long time,China has faced a cruel situation in which Western countries represented by the United States have spared no effort to internationalize the "Xinjiang issue".Therefore,how to reveal the real situation in Xinjiang,convey the true voice of Xinjiang people,strengthen China’s right to speak in international communication,and accelerate the construction of a new international communication order has become an important topic of research.Since 2019,China has changed its past methods of explaining and responding to Xinjiang issues in the form of news reports,expert interpretations,white papers,etc.,and for the first time internationally disseminated Xinjiang issues through documentary films,and achieved good dissemination effects.As a landmark event in the international spread of Xinjiang issues,the "Xinjiang Anti-terrorism" series of documentaries have made outstanding contributions to breaking the Western society’s monopoly on Xinjiang issues,urging overseas audiences to understand Xinjiang’s anti-terrorism facts,and influencing public opinion at home and abroad.Therefore,based on the phenomenon-level heated discussion of the "Xinjiang Anti-terrorism" series of documentaries,this article conducts narrative research on the "Xinjiang Anti-terrorism" series of documentaries from the perspective of international communication on the basis of multiple viewings.First of all,this article uses the narrative focus theory to explore the narrative content and characteristics of the "Xinjiang Anti-terrorism" series of documentaries from the perspective of international communication from the perspective of observation focus,plot focus,and topic focus.First,the “Xinjiang Anti-terrorism” series of documentary films presents the characteristics of zero-focus and internal-focus conversion and internal-focusing at the focal level of the observation point;second,the plot focus includes three aspects: logical relationship focus,contradiction focus,and detail focus.;Third,the "Xinjiang Anti-terrorism" documentary series presents the topic of anti-terrorism that calls for unity at the topic focus level,highlighting gender equality issues and highlighting educational issues that highlight development.Secondly,the author used Python software to crawl overseas audience comments on the "Xinjiang Anti-terrorism" series of documentaries on the Youtube platform,and used this as a research sample,and found that "story narration" was an important means for the "Xinjiang Anti-terrorism" series of documentaries to alleviate the strong political color of Xinjiang issues.It has played an important role in persuading overseas audiences to understand and agree with "Xinjiang Anti-terrorism".In this regard,the author uses relevant theories of narratology to dig deeper into the story persuasion skills presented in the "Xinjiang Anti-terrorism" series of documentaries,hoping to provide reference for future internationally disseminated documentaries concerning Xinjiang issues.In addition,through the analysis and research of the "Xinjiang Anti-terrorism" series of documentaries,this article found that the "Xinjiang Anti-terrorism" series of documentaries also exposed its narrative and international dissemination deficiencies and deficiencies,such as low exposure to sensitive issues,Individual stories are too refined,and communication channels are limited.In this regard,the author puts forward some enlightenments and suggestions for my country’s future international communication documentaries concerning Xinjiang issues: increase sensitive topics and grasp the initiative in communication;increase story details and extend empathy time;use global communication concepts to create a communication platform. |
